The 22nd Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR Competition raised $3,776,720 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, thanks to the tireless work of 63 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies, it was announced Tuesday. Since 1989, the 22 editions of GYPSY OF THE YEAR have raised a total of $44,137,415 to benefit BC/EFA.

Tabatha is taking over at My Big Gay Italian Wedding! For three performances only, Thursday December 2nd - Saturday December 4th, the star of the hit Bravo series "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" Tabatha Coffey will be the special guest in the hilarious comedy now playing at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street.

Yesterday, November 18th, the outrageous off-Broadway comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding now playing at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street) celebrated its 100th performance. To mark the occasion, last night's show featured hunk soap star Austin Peck ('As The World Turns,' 'Days of Our Lives') and the reigning Miss New York Claire Buffie as well other surprise guest stars.

After a sold out limited engagement last month, the stars of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' returned to the Off-Broadway comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding this week for four more performances, October 20th - 23rd. Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo and Lauren Manzo will return to the roles of Wedding Officiator, Connie Scuccifuffio, Angela Pinnunziato and Maria Pinnunziato, respectively, in the outrageous Off-Broadway comedy now playing at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street.

Bryan Batt, Bethenny Frankel, Andy Cohen, and Chely Wright were among the celebrities who joined the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to honor American Airlines, legendary Advertising Age critic Bob Garfield and outstanding images of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in advertising at the 2nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Advertising in New York City.

Last night, June 24, Dina Manzo, Caroline Manzo, and Jacqueline Laurita, stars of Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' hosted a special performance of the Off-Broadway hit comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding, benefiting Marriage Equality New York and their work for marriage equality here and throughout the nation. Tickets included admission to the show and a rooftop after-party with the My Big Gay Italian Wedding and 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' casts at Press Lounge at Ink48, 653 11th Avenue (at 48th Street). Performances began Wednesday, May 5th for My Big Gay Italian Wedding, the new comedy by Anthony J. Wilkinson featuring 'Amazing Race' winner Reichen Lehmkuhl, along with Bryan Anthony, Tricia Burns, Brett Douglas, Liz Gerecitano, Leah Gerstel, Randi Kaplan, Chad Kessler, Kevin McIntyre, Carla-Marie Mercun, Erik Ransom, Meagan Robar, Joe Scanio, Fabio Taliercio, and Adam Zelasko. Opening Night is set for May 22nd. Directed by Teresa A. Cicala with choreography by J. Austin Eyer and original music & lyrics by David Boyd.

On Saturday, May 1, the Straight for Equality Awards Gala honored Liza Minnelli at the New York Marriott Marquis. Liza Minnelli was presented with the 2010 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award. This honor recognizes Liza's lifelong role as a Straight Ally of the LGBT community. Additional honorees included NFL Super Bowl XLIV star, now of the Cleveland Browns Scott Fujita, and international food services corporation Sodexo. The event was hosted by comedienne Caroline Rhea, with the live auction hosted by actor and 'Amazing Race IV' winner Reichen Lehmkuhl. BroadwayWorld was on hand to celebrate.
