A rotating cast of Broadway talent shares some of the classics that have made the artform infamous for pulling at the heartstrings
For the first time ever, Starlight will make single tickets for next summer's Broadway season available for a limited time only, Friday, November 25 through Monday, November 28 - Black Friday through Cyber Monday.
The Oscar qualifying film festival, which was included on MovieMaker Magazine’s “50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” list, once again offers a diverse selection of films from highly anticipated studio efforts to independent films, and international to local Georgia and Atlanta productions as part of its carefully curated hybrid presentation.
The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

In its first-ever virtual announcement, Starlight revealed the nominations for the 18th annual Blue Star Awards in a live premiere on Facebook Thursday, May 21. Fifty-three of 54 schools were able to stage their 2019-20 Blue Star Awards musicals throughout the past school year, leading to 179 nominations in 23 categories. On Thursday, hundreds of Blue Star Awards students celebrated the much-anticipated nominations at a safe social distance.

From 1951-1957 and beyond, the 'I Love Lucy' show captured the hearts of Americans each week with side-splitting laughter and a star that couldn't shine brighter - Lucille Ball. With husband and co-start Desi Arnaz, former vaudeville stars Vivian Vance and William Frawley, the black-and-white TV show shot straight to the top and has remained in the hearts of audiences even up to today. Now the Curran Theatre presents I Love Lucy Live on Stage as a tribute to that iconic show and the redhead that made it all happen.
