Zolita has unveiled the official video for her  Queer country anthem “Small Town Scandal,” appearing on her forthcoming album Queen of Hearts due May 31 via AWAL. Building off the storyline from her previously released video for “Bloodstream,” the video features Zolita as well as Love Island fan favorite Kyra Green running away together as they find refuge in a sea of line dancers. Cabaret singer Tammy Faye Starlite is bringing her show Nico Underground, exploring the subversive singer Nico perhaps best known for singing with the Velvet Underground. The show runs at Joe's Pub every Wednesday night at 9:30 pm from May 1 to May 22. We spoke with Tammy about the inspiration behind the show and the process of putting it together.

Actress and mental health advocate Taraji P. Henson, will release her debut picture book, titled You Can Be a Good Friend (No Matter What!) on June 18, 2024, illustrated by Paul Kellam. The story opens with a young girl named Lil TJ getting ready for her first day of school and telling her Grandma Patsy about making new friends. “Don’t forget, friendships take time,” Grandma reminds her, but Lil TJ throws herself into school with gusto . . . and immediately attracts the bullying attention of a boy who makes fun of her for her loud voice, colorful drawings, and larger-than-life personality.

Adapted from the 1988 Tim Burton cult classic, BEETLEJUICE - THE MUSICAL is an over-the-top, chaotic, and wildly unhinged reimagining that amps up the kooky-ness of its source material a thousand-fold. Mostly funny and entertaining despite its tonal shifts and forced outlandishness, the show elicits lots of laughs thanks to its title character.

From my perspective, there is one crucial way to stay afloat in college - organization and planning.
