Dream team band R+R=NOW has released 'Change Of Tone,' the enticing lead track from their forthcoming debut album Collagically Speaking, which will be released June 15 on Blue Note Records. 'Change Of Tone,' which is available today to stream or download, moves with ease between its various sections and styles, highlighting each of this remarkable collective's members along with vocal contributions by Goapele.

On Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 7:30pm, Toronto Musical Concerts (TMC) presents a staged musical reading of Stephen Sondheim'sCOMPANY In Concert at Eastminster United Church (310 Danforth Avenue) to benefit The Canadian Safe School Network (https://canadiansafeschools.com).

Grammy nominated trumpeter, composer, and producer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah will release the third installment of a trio of albums commemorating the 100th anniversary of the first jazz recordings. Collectively titled The Centennial Trilogy, the final album in the series The Emancipation Procrastination will be released on October 20th via Ropeadope.

A Misfortune makes its world premiere tonight at The Charlottetown Festival. Sponsored by Key Murray Law, the bittersweet Canadian musical is playing a short run at the Centre's cabaret theatre, The Mack until Sept 22.

Harlem Stage is back with another amazing season featuring a range of Music, Film, Spoken Word, Dance and the return of their successful Dinner/Discussion series, WaterWorks at 10: Visionary Artists and Transformative Art. Opening July 13 is a cabaret matinee that offers a taste of the Island, literally and culturally! Glenda's Kitchen returns after a successful debut at The Charlottetown Festival last summer, and will feature a beloved and familiar name in the director's chair.

This spring, Carnegie Hall presents dynamic and innovative jazz programming with two performances in Zankel Hall, featuring saxophonist Donny McCaslin and trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah.

Some of the biggest names on the jazz circuit-including Miller audience favorites Warren Wolf and Miguel Zenon-come together to form the inimitable collective SFJAZZ. This touring program celebrates one of the genre's greats: Miles Davis. The band's explorations of this rich repertoire make it feel fresh once more, as revelatory and innovative as it sounded when Miles issued his first records back in the 1940s and 50s.

Back in 1992, Fernando Bermudez, a Washington Heights resident, was convicted of a homicide that occurred in Greenwich Village. Eyewitnesses recanted soon after, but he remained in prison. Bermudez was exonerated in 2009, after serving nearly 18 years, going on to win the biggest settlement for an exoneree in the history of New York State. Another event in Bermudez's journey occurred just a few days ago.

Theater for the New City Executive Director Crystal Field and the Textile Company are presenting 'Pedro Castillo is Innocent,' by Claude Solnik, a playwright who reported on the case.

?A staged reading of "Pedro Castillo is Innocent," a new play about an innocent man in jail and the impact that experience has on his family, will debut the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Over the course of 30 years, Harlem Stage has become one of the nation's leading arts organizations, achieving this distinction by commissioning, developing, producing and presenting innovative works by visionary artists of color. Their Fall 2015 season offers a variety of events, including free neighborhood concerts and ticketed headlining events, as well as lectures and roundtable discussions that advance deeper engagement with Harlem Stage's audience. All will take place in the state-of-the art flexible performance space, the Harlem Stage Gatehouse.

Under the stars on the patio at Vagabondo Italian Ristorante + Lounge in downtown Toronto, Theatre 20 announced its 2015/2016 season.
