Today, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah released his new album Ancestral Recall via Ropeadope / Stretch Music. So far the album has also been praised by New York Times, Afropunk, Highsnobiety, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, HipHopDX, Cool Hunting, Brooklyn Vegan, Exclaim!, Glide, Paste, and more. Collaborators on Ancestral Recall include Saul Williams, Elena Pinderhughes, Mike Larry Draw, Chris Turner, Weedie Braimah, Logan Richardson, and others.

Today, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah releases “Forevergirl,” the second single from his upcoming album Ancestral Recall (out March 22nd via the Ropeadope / Stretch Music labels). Featuring Chris Turner and Mike Larry Draw, the song was praised by The FADER who called it “a hypersyncopated but blissful love song.”  So far the album has also been praised by New York Times, Afropunk, Highsnobiety, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, HipHopDX, Cool Hunting, Brooklyn Vegan, and Paste, who said “the future of jazz is here and Adjuah is shattering boundaries in incredible ways.” Additional collaborators on Ancestral Recall include Saul Williams, Elena Pinderhughes, Weedie Braimah, Logan Richardson, and others.

Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah announces a March 22, 2019 release for his forthcoming album Ancestral Recall (via the Ropeadope / Stretch Music labels). Released today, the album's title track features poet laureate Saul Williams. Of the song, Highsnobiety proclaims that Adjuah “craft[s] rhythm-driven zones that are as transcendent as they are grounded in richly organic sonics.” Additional collaborators on the recording include Elena Pinderhughes, Weedie Braimah, Logan Richardson, Mike Larry Draw, Chris Turner, and others.

Today trumpeter, composer, and producer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah received a GRAMMY nomination for his album The Emancipation Procrastination. Released on October 20th 2017 via Ropeadope, the album was final album in Adjuah's The Centennial Trilogy: a three-album series commemorating the 100th anniversary of the first jazz recordings. The Centennial Trilogy was praised by Pitchfork, NPR Music, Stereogum, GQ, The New York Times, Interview Magazine, Paste, The FADER, Noisey, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, and many more.

Today the multi-Grammy Award winning pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader Eddie Palmieri released Mi Luz Mayor, his second salsa album of the year on his newly launched imprint Uprising Music (through Ropeadope). Recorded at the iconic Power Station at BerkleeNYC (formerly known as Avatar Studios), Mi Luz Mayor is a big band album 35+ of the best afro-cuban musicians in the mecca of salsa: New York City.

On December 7th the multi-Grammy Award winning pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader Eddie Palmieri will release Mi Luz Mayor, his second salsa album of the year on his newly launched imprint Uprising Music (through Ropeadope). Today, Palmieri releases the album's third single 'Mi Congo,' featuring Carlos Santana. Guitar World called the the collaboration 'lively, intricately beautiful,' while NPR's Felix Contreras said the song will 'change the perception of what you think an [81] year old should sound like. This is proof positive that we only get better with age.'

With tacky leg lamps, weird department store Santas, and ruined turkey dinners - courtesy of the neighbor's dog - the holiday season commences at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre with "A Christmas Story - The Musical." This festive production is presented by M&M Stage Productions Fridays, Nov. 16 and 30 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Nov. 17, 24 and Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 18, 25 and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.

BRIC is pleased to announce a free concert by Brooklyn afrobeat juggernaut Antibalas on October 13,co-presented by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership (DBP) at The Plaza at 300 Ashland, to kick off the 2018 BRIC JazzFest. The announcement completes the programming for the fourth edition of the celebrated Brooklyn jazz festival, called a "proudly eclectic gathering [that] remains unbounded by convention" (New Yorker), and continues a yearlong celebration to cap off four decades for the pioneering NYC arts-and-media organization and leading presenter of free cultural programming in Brooklyn.

A titan of Latin Jazz and Salsa music, Eddie Palmieri, known as “El Maestro,” is still making musical history. At 81 years old, the multi-Grammy Award winning pianist and music legend today releases his new album Full Circle. Featuring 8 classic salsa tracks recorded with stunning cast of musicians from New York and beyond, the album is his first album released on Palmieri's newly launched imprint Uprising Music via Ropeadope. The album release coincides with the release of the Palmieri Salsa Jams App, the world's first interactive Salsa music app on Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah's Stretch Music App platform.
