NAATCO to Continue Season with Lloyd Suh's 'CHARLES FRANCIS CHAN, JR.'

The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theater Company, continues their 25th season with the World Premiere of ??Lloyd Suh's Charles Francis Chan, Jr.'s Exotic Oriental Murder Mystery. Ed Sylvanus Iskandar directs a cast that includes Jeff Biehl, Jennifer Ikeda, Peter Kim, Orville Mendoza, KK Moggie and Jeffrey Omura. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at Walker Space (46 Walker Street) will begin October 26th, with Opening Night set for November 2nd.  Performances continue through November 21st only.

NAATCO's AWAKE AND SING! Set for The Public Theater in July

The Public Theater will present NAATCO's acclaimed production of AWAKE AND SING! this summer for a limited engagement beginning Monday, July 6. The National Asian American Theatre Company, under Artistic Producing Director Mia Katigbak and Associate Producer Peter Kim will kick off their 25th Season in residency at The Public with this classic Odets drama. The limited engagement in The Public's Shiva Theater (425 Lafayette Street) will run through Saturday, August 1 with an official press opening on Monday, July 13.

Signature Theatre has announced that the World Premiere of David Henry Hwang's new play KUNG FU, directed by Leigh Silverman with choreography by Sonya Tayeh, will get a two week extension and now play through Sunday, March 30. The production begins performances on February 4 and officially opens on February 24, 2014 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Limited $25 subsidized tickets remain for the production's initial run through March 16. Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.

Earlier today, Signature Theatre revealed the full cast for the World Premiere of David Henry Hwang's new play Kung Fu, directed by Leigh Silverman with choreography by Sonya Tayeh. The production runs February 4 through March 16, 2014 with a February 24, 2014 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access.
