The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, is pleased to welcome Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch back to Bemelmans Bar for an extended Sunday night residency. The upcoming performances will build upon their recent run of shows in the intimate, storied New York City lounge, favorites not only of music fans and critics, but also of fellow artists. Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch shows are a place where some of the city's foremost entertainers go to commune with their own-and sometimes sit-in for a song or two-on their nights off. The pair will be at Bemelmanswith their evening of swinging standards Sunday nights, April 6 - May 25.

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel this month with their evening of swinging standards. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During their November run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. Madeline's Christmas returns to Horizon Theatre Company in Little Five Points this holiday season for the sixth year. A delightful treat for the whole family, Horizon in collaboration with The Atlanta Children's Theatre Company, reprises the delightful musical adaptation of Ludwig Bemelmans' classic book. Based on one of the most popular children's book characters of all time, the production features 24 local girls performing alongside professional actors in two irresistibly adorable casts. Madeline and her friends are sure to enchant audiences of all ages with their holiday adventure filled with laughter, magic, and newfound friends.

One Hundred and Twenty-Five years ago this New Year's Eve, America's most celebrated actor, Edwin Booth gave the Deed of 16 Gramercy Park South to The Players. The Players tradition has been to read the deed in front of the Great Hall fire place echoing back to Edwin Booth and the Founding Members. This year, this tradition continues along with live music, dancing, and more festivities as The Players kicks off a new era, sharing a toast to its founders and celebrating 125 years at 'A Certain Club.'

Westport Country Playhouse will open its 2013-14 Family Festivities Series with the musical, "Madeline and the Bad Hat," based on Ludwig Bemelmans' "Madeline" classic books, on Sunday, November 17, 1 and 4 p.m. The story traces the adventures of a young Parisian girl who, despite starting off on the wrong foot with a mischievous new neighbor, eventually learns that first impressions aren't everything. Produced by ArtsPower, the show is recommended for grades K - 2. Running time is approximately one hour. Family Festivities shows are presented on selected Sundays from November through March, at 1 and 4 p.m. Pre-show activities begin one hour before each performance at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $20.
