Broadway's Lauren Elder (SIDE SHOW, HAIR) led the recent 'In the Spotlight' cabaret held at the Laurie Beechman Theater. The 6th annual show held each July was presented by the Spotlight Kidz under the direction of Sandy Kost-Sterner.

Broadway Buskers has announced the schedule for their remaining summer street performances.

Caren Tackett will present 'Side; a tale of mental illness' in concert at NYMF 2019, taking place at the Laurie Beechman Theater on July 9 (6pm) and July 10 (9:30pm), and featuring musicians Dov Schiller, Jaco Schiller, Vincent Vinezia & Jennifer Vincent, with additional vocals provided by Emily Afton, Amelia Cosco, Lauren Elder, Colin Gregory & Elise Levin, and Direction by Colin Gregory.

Musical director and pianist, Kevin Winebold, celebrates his 40th birthday with KEVIN WINEBOLD: MY FIRST FORTY YEARS with a host of Broadway guest artists in a benefit concert at The Players (16 Gramercy Park South). Guest artists include Desi Davar (WEST SIDE STORY), Nicolas Dromard (JERSEY BOYS), Lauren Elder (SIDE SHOW), Leigh Ann Larkin (GYPSY), Kimberly Marable (HADESTOWN), Arthur Migliazza (BOOGIE STOMP!), Anthony Nunziata (The Last Laugh), and Jelani Remy (AIN'T TOO PROUD). Proceeds from the concert will benefit arts education programs that Winebold will be creating this summer in Angola, Africa.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway cast twice monthly. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday night, June 6th Broadway Sessions will offer up a sneak peek of the upcoming BROADWAY BUSKERS concert series in Times Square.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present the "Tony Awards Viewing Party" hosted by the "undie rock" sensation The Skivvies on Sunday, June 9 at 7:30 PM. Come hear the hit Broadway duo Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley sing covers and parodies from the musical theatre cannon during commercial breaks, while we live stream the Tonys on a large projection screen.

This summer, Times Square will once again celebrate New York City's talent, culture, and creativity with concert series on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, ambient music at lunch and happy hour, and coloring and drawing activities for all ages on Wednesdays throughout the summer.

In 2008, Reverend Vernon Jackson's Religious Broadcasting Network in Lynchburg Va. televised 'The Gay No More' Telethon for Conversion Therapy. The goal: raise money to turn as many homosexuals straight as possible by the Rapture or the 2014 Winter Olympics. Whichever comes first. But now, a decade later, he has seen the error of his ways and wants to apologize.

Upton Sinclair's The Jungle, with book, music, and lyrics by Nathan Dame and Rob Baumgartner, Jr., will be given a private industry reading in New York City on March 15th.

Award-winning composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin (Mary and Max, 'Til Death Do Us Part, The Concrete Jungle, Psykidz, and Till Soon, Anne) will give a concert featuring some of his favorite Broadway performers: Raymond J. Lee (Groundhog Day, Mamma Mia), Laquet Sharnell Pringle (Memphis, The Lion King), Vishal Vaidya (Groundhog Day, 1776), and Lauren Elder (Side Show, Hair) who starred in the world premiere of Bobby's Mary and Max musical in the fall of 2018. This will be the kickoff of the show's fourth season at The Duplex. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.
