"Seventy-six Trombones" are coming to the Weston Playhouse stage this August! In the true Weston tradition of bringing award-winning classics to the stage, the company will present the Grammy and Tony Award-winning musical, THE MUSIC MAN. Beginning performances on August 3, this production promises to be a crowd pleaser for all ages.

Vineyard Theatre's Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that Joanna Gleason and Chris Sarandon are set to host the 2017 Gala Fundraiser celebrating the 10th anniversary of Vineyard Theatre's hit musical [title of show] with Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, and a toast to Broadway producer Kevin McCollum.  Michael Berresse will direct the gala show.  Larry Pressgrove will be the music director. The annual Gala Fundraiser will take place on Monday, March 13, 2017, beginning at 6:30pm, at Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).

Continuing a full tilt schedule of summer entertainment, Weston Playhouse will present one of Broadway's longest-running hits and the feel-good musical of the season, Mamma Mia! on its MainStage from August 4th- August 20th.

The Carlisle Theatre Company, the resident community theatre group of the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center, presents the first production of its 2016 Season, [title of show].  This Tony nominated musical about two young songwriters in New York City trying to write a show about…well…two young songwriters in New York City trying to write a show is a backstage love letter to the theatre and the art of collaboration.

Based upon characters and stories by Damon Runyon, and memorialized in film by the likes of Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra, Weston's production features a requisite all-star cast and an iconic score which includes some of Broadway's most memorable songs, such as 'Luck Be a Lady' and 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat.'

In an exciting and new collaboration with Burr and Burton Academy's Creative Arts Department, Vermont's oldest professional theatre company is offering high school students with an interest in musical theatre an incredible opportunity to learn what it takes to be a Broadway performer. The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company's 'Broadway Boot Camp' will run in Manchester, VT from August 3 - 21.

A new play for a new year!
