The Ruckus kicks off their sixth season with a remount of The Strange by Jenny Magnus, presented in partnership with Athenaeum Theatre Productions, beginning June 13 at the Athenaeum Theatre. The Ruckus' production of The Strange first appeared as a part of Curious Theatre Branch's Magnus In Play festival in February 2014, receiving three performances. Ruckus Artistic Director Allison Shoemaker returns as director, and Julie Cowden (The Mammals, Stage Left) who was most recently seen in The Ruckus' production of The Deer, reprises her role as the Woman. Ruckus Ensemble Member Stevie Chaddock-Lambert (Ka-Tet Theatre, Strangeloop Theatre) joins the cast as the Girl.

The Ruckus Theater follows up its Jeff-Recommended productions of Heist Play and Facing Angela with the world premiere of The Deer, starting April 11 at Collaboraction (Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee) in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. The Deer marks the third partnership between playwright Brooke Allen and director Eric Hoff; the pair collaborated on The Life and Death of Madam Barker, which premiered to great acclaim at Red Tape Theatre in 2013. The cast of six includes Mike Tepeli as The Deer (Great Expectations, Strawdog Theatre; The Burnt Part Boys, Griffin Theatre Company); Bryan Bosque (Harry & the Thief, Pavement Group; The Skriker, Red Tape Theatre); Julie Cowden (Facing Angela, The Ruckus; All Girl Frankenstein, The Mammals); Ruckus Associate Artistic Director Joshua Davis (Heist Play, The Ruckus; Lear, Red Tape Theatre); Matthew Lloyd, (The Lives of Pigeons, the side project); and Cheryl Snodgrass (Hell in a Handbag).

CBS has given mid-season premiere dates to the new comedy BAD TEACHER and returning drama UNFORGETTABLE.

Mark Bazeley and Kristin Davis will join the previously announced Natascha McElhone in Trevor Nunn's production of Fatal Attraction to play Dan and Beth Gallagher. Written by James Dearden, the world stage premiere of Fatal Attraction will open at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 25 March 2014, with previews now starting on 11 March and currently booking to 21 June 2014. According to Variety, Kristin Davis has just signed on to star in the upcoming stage adaptation of FATAL ATTRACTION, opposite the previously announced Natascha McElhone. FATAL ATTRACTION begins previews on 8 March with press night on 25 March and is booking for a fifteen week limited run to 21 June 2014. Trevor Nunn directs. The cast of six is a motley crew of Ruckus regulars and Chicago theater favorites. Facing Angela will be performed at the Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N. Southport) June 29-July 28, 2013. Thursday- Saturday performances are at 8:00pm; Sunday performances are at 2pm. In observance of Independence Day, there will not be a show on July 4. There will be an industry performance on Mon.
