Today, the Environmental Media Association (EMA) has announced its 2015 honorees for the upcoming Environmental Media Awards, presented by Toyota and Lexus.

First Floor Theater (FFT) is thrilled to announce the first show of their fourth season, the world premiere of ANIMALS COMMIT SUICIDE, playwright J. Julian Christopher's high-octane and darkly comic story of desire, disease, and contemporary queer life.

Catalina Film Festival (CFF) today announced featured tributes and events for the Sept. 24 - 27 festival, held on the famed Catalina Island. Among the honorees for the 5th annual Festival are inaugural recipient of the Soundtrack of Our Lives Award, legendary songwriter Diane Warren; Avalon Award recipient, Mena Suvari (American Beauty, American Pie); Isla Earth Award recipient, Kristin Davis (Sex & the City, Couples Retreat); and Crest Award recipient, Lucas Till (X-Men: Apocalypse, Bravetown). CFF will also pay tribute to Wes Craven, a supporter of the Festival who graciously founded the annual Craven Award for excellence in horror filmmaking and personally selected the winning films.

Today, on E!, John Corbett, who starred on the series as 'Aiden', boyfriend to Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie revealed that 'There's a lot of story left to tell with those women and if HBO got it together, I'd like to see the show come back for a couple of seasons like The Comeback. I'd like to see them come back for, you know, eight or 10 episodes a year for a couple of more years.'

The Ruckus continues its 2014-15 season with the Midwest premiere of BARBECUE APOCALYPSE, Matt Lyle's acclaimed comedy about adulthood, insecurity, and the transformative possibilities of total disaster. The Thomas Murray-directed production of the play called 'a show I enjoyed so much ... that I actually paid to see it again' (Lindsey Wilson, American Theatre) will run February 15 - March 15, 2015 at the Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N Southport Ave.) in Chicago. A limited number of tickets are also available through Chicago Theatre Week, which runs from February 12 - 22. Following a successful fifth season with productions at The Side Project Theatre and Collaboraction, The Ruckus Theater is proud to announce its sixth season in Chicago, as well as the appointment of a new Artistic Director and Executive Director. Outgoing Artistic Director Allison Shoemaker, who will now serve as the company's Director of Marketing and Publicity, and incoming Artistic Director Derek Van Barham release today a season of two plays, each investigating the impact of cataclysm on a community. In a recent interview with BroadwayWorld, broadway veteran Cybill Shepherd revealed that she'd love to star in a musical. When asked at the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame concert if she'd like to star in a Hollywood Bowl summer show, she responded: 'I'd like to do Annie Get Your Gun, to be perfectly honest! I may be a little old for it... but I could find something else!'

The Ruckus kicks off their sixth season with a remount of The Strange by Jenny Magnus, presented in partnership with Athenaeum Theatre Productions, beginning June 13 at the Athenaeum Theatre. The Ruckus' production of The Strange first appeared as a part of Curious Theatre Branch's Magnus In Play festival in February 2014, receiving three performances. Ruckus Artistic Director Allison Shoemaker returns as director, and Julie Cowden (The Mammals, Stage Left) who was most recently seen in The Ruckus' production of The Deer, reprises her role as the Woman. Ruckus Ensemble Member Stevie Chaddock-Lambert (Ka-Tet Theatre, Strangeloop Theatre) joins the cast as the Girl.
