MET's resident improv and sketch comedy group, The Comedy Pigs, is gearing up for what promises to be another highly successful Comedy Extravaganza onFriday, August 5th and Saturday, August 6th at 8pm. With an awesome line-up of improvisers and stand-up comedians from across the MD/VA/DC area, both nights will feature completely different rosters of talent, with different forms of comedy, including short-form improv games, long-form improv, stand-up, sketches, and everything in between. Casting is announced today for Music Theatre Wichita's 45th Season, which includes Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and the regional premieres of "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "Mamma Mia!"  

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday night, May 12th, Broadway Sessions welcomes '16 graduates from the Drama Department at Syracuse University alongside notable Syracuse alums.

The New England Brewfest, the ultimate craft beer weekend, is back for its 12th year and scheduled for June 24th-26th in Lincoln and Woodstock, NH. Produced by the Western White Mountains Chamber of Commerce, the New England Brewfest is a one-of-a-kind event in the New England region and offers participants a total craft beer immersion in food, education, and entertainment. The weekend's signature tasting event, Saturday Night: ON TAP, takes place slopeside at Loon Mountain Resort. Event tickets and weekend packages go on sale April 1st.

Since the Comedy Pigs debuted in 1993, they have performed over 500 shows including nationwide improv festivals, have been featured on Comedy Central and have been guests at the National Pork Producers Convention. The upcoming 22nd season promises plenty of laughs with some new twists and audience favorites.
