The Salt Lake City engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, plays the Capitol Theatre tonight, June 4-16. The cast of JERSEY BOYS will be led by Brandon Andrus (Nick Massi),Nick Cosgrove (Frankie Valli), Nicolas Dromard (Tommy DeVito) and Jason Kappus (Bob Gaudio) as The Four Seasons, with Barry Anderson and Thomas Fiscella.

The National Tour of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, welcomes Nick Cosgrove (Frankie Valli) and Nicolas Dromard (Tommy DeVito) beginning June 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They will join a company that includes Brandon Andrus (Nick Massi) and Jason Kappus (Bob Gaudio) as The Four Seasons, with Barry Anderson and Thomas Fiscella. The Salt Lake City premiere engagement ofJERSEY BOYS will play June 4-15 at the Capitol Theater. Following Salt Lake City, the company will move to Little Rock, Arkansas for a premiere engagement at the Robinson Center Music Hall June 19 -23. =

To commemorate its sesquicentennial, BAM (Brooklyn Academy Of Music) commissioned BAM150, a feature length documentary conceived by award-winning director Michael Sladek that weaves together the institution's vibrant past, present, and future presenting a rich history that mirrors the evolution of performing arts in 20th century America. This landmark film premiered last year at the Tribeca Film Festival and will air tonight, April 19 at 10pm on THIRTEEN.

My first experience with JERSEY BOYS was the Broadway company's rousing performance at Broadway in Bryant Park last summer. After their fun, toe-tapping set, I was looking forward to seeing the 2nd National Tour company perform in Houston, TX. Last night, I took my seat for JERSEY BOYS anticipating hearing some timeless pop classics of yesteryear brought to dazzling life with an intriguing book that strings the hits together for a cohesive and moving story. However, after the 2 hour and 30 minute performance, I felt I was robbed of what should have been a completely entertaining and extravagant theatrical treat.

Little's 'sharp, elegantly bristling' opera-theatre piece, Soldier Songs (2006), which recently completed a wildly successful NYC premiere run on the inaugural PROTOTYPE festival, is released on audio CD from Innova Recordings, produced by Lawson White. The recording receives its digital release on iTunes and Amazon today, February 5, 2013.

On Friday, February 1 and Saturday, February 2, 2013, Houston Ballet presents Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal as part of the Cullen Series. One of the missions of the Cullen Series is to introduce the city to exciting contemporary dance makers. Under the artistic direction of Gradimir Pankov, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal will perform Cantata and Four Seasons by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti. Four Seasons is set to Antonio Vivaldi's score of the same name. The twelve-movement ballet highlights classical technique with contemporary motion. Cantata features live traditional Southern Italian music by Gruppo Musicale Assurd, a quartet of female singers from Italy. Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal will give two performances in the Cullen Theater at Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston. BroadwayWorld can exclusively report that Kevin Navayne, known for his role as Detective Ray Jackson in CSI: NY, is slated to make his Broadway debut as Miles Davis in a Broadway play in about the jazz legend. Directed and produced by Don Cheadle, the show is aiming for a short run on Broadway in 2013.

The Robert Wilson/Philip Glass collaboration Einstein on the Beach, An Opera in Four Acts has announced a 2012-2013 international tour. The revival, helmed by Wilson and Glass along with choreographer Lucinda Childs, marks the first full production in 20 years.
