Tony Winner Tamara Tunie And Mark Blane To Star In Mystery Drama GHOST BIKE

Tamara Tunie has been set to star in Ghost Bike, a dramatic indie short film, directed and written by Mark Blane (upcoming recurring role in the J.J. Abrams/Sara Bareilles helmed AppleTV+ drama Little Voice). Ghost Bike is Blane's follow-up to his debut feature film Cubby which had an international festival run and North American release in theaters and on VOD platforms in 2019. Cubby, which Blane starred in, wrote, and co-directed, was recently nominated in the 'Buried Treasure' category of the 26th Annual Chlotrudis Awards for Independent Film. Shooting for Ghost Bike gets underway this month in New York City.

Ars Nova, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, has announced details for the world premiere commission of Oratorio for Living Things by Obie Award-winner and 2015 & 2016 Ars Nova resident artist Heather Christian. Directed by Obie Award-winner Lee Sunday Evans, the event fuses music and theater, surrounding the audience with 18 virtuosic singers and instrumentalists. Oratorio for Living Things runs March 10-April 12, 2020, at Ars Nova at Greenwich House (27 Barrow Street, Manhattan) with a press opening on March 30. Tickets are now on sale at arsnovanyc.com.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) has announced a one-week extension for the world premiere production of Paris, written by Eboni Booth (Off-Broadway Playwriting Debut; Actor, Dance Nation) and directed by Knud Adams (Marie and Bruce). The production, which opens on Tuesday, January 21st will now play through Sunday, February 16th, 2020 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).

The production began performances Saturday, June 8 and will run for eight weeks only through Sunday, August 4 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Thursday, June 27. Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the eccentric, lovable LGBTQ feature CUBBY.Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in April in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and Jordan Mattos, Managing Director of Aspect Ratio Films. CUBBY will open theatrically in New York City, followed by a DVD & VOD release, in the 3rdquarter of 2019.
