Fifteen years after Columbine, with school shootings continuing to proliferate the national headlines, Nathaniel Sam Shapiro's The Erlkings will get its world premiere. Directed by Saheem Ali and presented by Factory School Productions and Rashad V. Chambers, The Erlkings began performances on November 9, and opened on November 16 through December 13, 2014 at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). Amas Musical Theatre will present three free staged readings of 'Bleeding Love, a post-apocalyptic new musical comedy', book by Jason Schafer, music by Arthur Lafrentz Bacon, lyrics by Harris Doran, directed by Michael Bush. The readings will take place tonight, October 15th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm, and Wednesday, October 16th at 1pm at The Theatre at the 14th Street Y, 314 East 14th Street.

Dan Hedaya and Ari Butler round out the cast of Ben Andron's new comedy 'The Legend of Bobby Stone and the Good Feeling Hat,' the first of three new plays producer Aaron Grant plans to present this summer as part of a new developmental reading series. Directed by Peter Scolari, 'The Legend of Bobby Stone' also features Harris Doran, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Julia Mattison, Christy Carlson Romano, Sam Seder, Keala Settle, and Max von Essen. Producer Aaron Grant is announcing initial casting for the first of three plays that he plans to present this summer, as part of a new developmental reading series beginning July 1. Participating in the reading of Ben Andron's new comedy "The Legend of Bobby Stone and the Good Feeling Hat," are Harris Doran, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Julia Mattison, Christy Carlson Romano, Sam Seder, Keala Settle, and Max Von Essen. Peter Scolari directs. The reading takes place in midtown on Monday July 1, at 2pm.
