Carter Calvert will return to New Hope with her one-woman salute to Cline. Entitled, “Walkin’ After Midnight: A Patsy Cline Tribute,” Calvert will be backed by the Roger Cohen Band and will perform 10 shows from October 14 – 24.

The powerful and inspirational voices of the Grammy®-winning internationally known a capella group Sweet Honey in the Rock® provide the soundtrack for the world-premiere of Crossroads Theatre Company’s inaugural production of “When Day Comes,” written and directed by Crossroads Co-Founder and Artistic Director Ricardo Khan.

All 40 members of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance as well as several of the state's presenting venues  have taken the Opening Night, Opening Right pledge to follow the most current medical advice, meeting or exceeding all local and national safety guidelines.

With the long-running Don’t Bother Me, I Can’t Cope, in which she also starred, she became the first woman to win a Grammy Award for the score of a Broadway musical. She also received Tony nominations for book, music, and lyrics. Another Grammy nomination for the score (with Alex Bradford) of Your Arms Too Short to Box with God followed, as well as another Tony nomination for the score of Working.

New Brunswick Cultural Center/Arts New Brunswick presents the 11th annual Hub City Sounds series, taking place this summer to fall from August 7 through October 31, 2021.

Crossroads Festival Theatre consists of two installments: Fall Festival and Spring Festival, running September 22 – October 10, and June 7 to June 26, 2022, respectively.

Theatre Communications Group has announced the 2021 TCG 60th Anniversary Gala: Our Stories will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 7:30pm ET with an afterparty to follow. The Gala will honor Ricardo Khan and the Performing Arts Alliance, and both the Gala and virtual live afterparty will be hosted by drag superstar Shequida. 

Crossroads Theatre Company's Genesis Festival of New Plays will stream over several virtual platforms at 7:00 p.m. (EST) April 14 – 17, Crossroads and partner Hi-ARTS announced.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“the Alliance”), the service organization for the state's professional theatre community, announces a new partnership with Amazon, soon to be the state's largest single employer. Support from Amazon will make it possible for the Alliance to continue and expand their services  to prepare theatres in New Jersey to reopen safely.

Women are the spark that has fueled the Civil Rights movement decades upon decades and Crossroad Theatre Company is honoring the sheroes from the past up through today with a conversation on Black Women in the Movement streaming March 24 – April 4, 2021 on the Home with Crossroads virtual platform accessible from the Crossroads website.

A presentation of excerpts of the musical drama Sheila's Day is being streamed as part of Crossroads Theatre Company's commemorative programming celebrating Women's History Month.  It will stream March 2 through March 23 on the Crossroads website. 

For 24 years, New Jersey Theatre Alliance has offered a spring festival of performances, workshops, and readings throughout the state. This year's festival will be held primarily online, due to the ongoing pandemic.

An encore production of the famed play The Colored Museum is being streamed as part of Crossroads Theatre Company's commemorative programming celebrating Black History Month February 2 – 28, 2021.  The play, written by Crossroads' alumni and famed Broadway director George C. Wolfe premiered at the theatre in 1986.  It was first directed by Crossroads Co-Founder L. Kenneth Richardson.  

The Black Seed has announced that close to 100 Black theatres across the country will receive grants ranging from $10,000 to $150,000.
