On Monday, May 13 Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for Theatre honored Ruth and Stephen Hendel and Ming Cho Lee at their Gala Evening. The evening was held at the Angel Orensanz Foundation (172 Norfolk Street) in New York City, cocktails started at 6pm and dinner started at 7pm. Jessica Hecht was the emcee of the evening; the Gala co-chairs were playwright Lydia R. Diamond and interior designer Jasmine M. Keller. The Gala honorary chairs were Anne Kaufman, Obie award-winning director; Nelle Nugent, Broadway producer; Judith O. Rubin, chairman of the board of Playwrights Horizons; and Liz Smith, gossip columnist. The event hosted 200 guests and surpassed its financial goal. Scroll down for photos from the gala!

Noel & Company will present a staged reading of Liliom by Ferenc Molnar at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) on Tuesday April 23rd at 7PM. The reading will be the second installment in Noel & Company's festival honoring the work of Eva Le Gallienne. Artistic Director Keith Merrill will direct, and Anne Kaufman will produce the event.

The York Theatre Company, as part of its Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series, presents A Conversation with Anne Kaufman, a one-night only special event on Monday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has launched the 2013 spring season at the legendary Café Carlyle. The spring season commences with Tony Award Nominees Howard McGillin and Rebecca Luker who will bring their program entitled 'Broadway Romance' to the Carlyle through January 26. DESCRIPTION: FOOD FOR THOUGHT PRODUCTIONS, the Award-Winning Theatre Company, is returning to its former home at the Players in Gramercy Park for another exciting season this fall. The opening show on Wednesday, October 31st will feature excerpts from 'THE ROUND TABLE' written by award-winning playwright Susan Charlotte and Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award winner Peter Stone, starring Penny Fuller and directed by Antony Marsellis. The play, which revolves around the lives of Dorothy Parker, George Kaufman, Robert Benchley, Robert Sherwood and Alexander Woollcott, is both entertaining and poignant, capturing the wit and the sadness of this very special time at the Algonquin Hotel. Another exciting addition to this program is Anne Kaufman, the daughter of George Kaufman. This unique program will be followed by a Q and A.

Six short plays will be selected from an open-submission process and presented in staged readings with two short plays by commissioned writers (John Guare and one other TBA). Plays will be selected based on relevance to Red Bull Theater's mission, incorporation of stated theme and excellence of the work. Directors for the plays are Ken Rus Schmoll and Anne Kaufmann.

David Pittu and Anne Kaufman (daughter of George S. Kaufman) attended the first preview of Off-Broadway's THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER starring Jim Brochu and Cady Huffman this past Saturday, November 26th. After the show, they congratulated the cast and happily posed for photos.

The annual Primary Stages November Night to Remember Gala, a fundraiser benefiting the extensive artistic development programs offered by the company, was just held at the Edison Ballroom, last night, November 9, 2011. Each year at their annual Gala, Primary Stages honors an individual or group who has made significant contributions to the American theater. This year's gala honored the writers, lyricists, and composers who have won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The Honorary Committee of Pulitzer Prize Winners includes Edward Albee, David Auburn, Michael Cristofer, Nilo Cruz, Charles Fuller, Frank Gilroy, Sheldon Harnick, Beth Henley, Tom Kitt, James Lapine, Tracy Letts, David Lindsay-Abaire, Donald Margulies, Marsha Norman, Bruce Norris, Lynn Nottage, Robert Schenkkan, Stephen Sondheim, Alfred Uhry, Paula Vogel, Doug Wright, and Brian Yorkey.

For one night only, Friday, October 28 at 8:00p.m., East Lynne Theater Company, in partnership with The Cape May Film Festival, presents this original 'Phantom of the Opera,' with live organ accompaniment provided by Wayne Zimmerman.
