KITTY HAWK Returns to the Arsht Center for Its Third Season


The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) announces the third season of Kitty Hawk, an Arsht Center Learning Through the Arts initiative that aims to fuel students' interest in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, arts or mathematics a?"- collectively known as STEAM.

KITTY HAWK Returns to the Arsht Center


The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announces the second season of Kitty Hawk, a STEAM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) program that is part-curriculum, part-performance and all inspiration. Kitty Hawk is a part of the Center's Learning Through the Arts initiative, which reaches nearly 60,000 students annually. The program aims to bridge the STEM gap by integrating the arts through a musical performance, an art-infused curriculum and a series of hands-on workshops for seventh graders in Miami-Dade County. Kitty Hawk kicks off Oct. 1 with two weeks of performances of the musical created by the Center which tells the story of Wilbur and Orville Wright's historic first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903.

The Critical Mass Performance Group production of "Ameryka," which Center Theatre Group is remounting at the Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of the second annual Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre, will open Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. Written and directed by Critical Mass Performance Group Artistic Director Nancy Keystone in collaboration with the company, "Ameryka" is currently in previews and will close April 29.

Arsht Launches First Steam-Focused Musical for Miami-Dade 7th Graders


The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announces the opening of Kitty Hawk, the latest installment of the Center's Learning through the Arts program, from Oct. 2-13.

Lisa Loomer's ROE Opens 4/24 at Angus Bowmer Theatre


The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open the world premiere of Lisa Loomer's Roe on April 24 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. Preview performances are April 20, 22 and 23.

BURQ OFF! by Nadia Manzoor to Receive LA Premiere at Elephant Stages in Hollywood, 7/17-19


Paprika Productions is pleased to present West Coast premiere performances, in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, of Burq Off!, a gutsy autobiographical one-woman show written and performed by Nadia Parvez Manzoor. Los Angeles performances will run from Thursday, July 17 through Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Elephant Stages in Hollywood. San Francisco performances will run from Thursday, July 24 through Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the EXIT Theatre Studio Space.

Broadway's ALL THE WAY Makes Clean Sweep in 2014 Awards Season


The producers of All The Way, by Robert Schenkkan, have announced that the show has won every major award for Best New Play this season - the Drama League Award, the Drama Desk Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Critics Circle Award and the Tony Award. For his critically acclaimed portrayal of President Lyndon B. Johnson, Bryan Cranston was awarded the Tony Award for Best Actor in addition to already winning the Drama Desk Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, and having been recognized with a Theatre World Award.

ALL THE WAY Recoups Broadway Investment!


As of May 31st, 2014, the Tony Award-nominated Broadway production of All the Way, starring Tony Award-nominee Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as President Lyndon B. Johnson, has recouped its investment of $3.9 million. All the Way, which is now playing at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52ndStreet) is written by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan and directed by Bill Rauch.

ALL THE WAY Offers Subsidized Student Tickets to NYC Public High Schools, May-June 2014


Producers of All the Way are thrilled to announce that thanks to generous donations from a number of individuals, the show will be offering free and highly subsidized tickets to students from New York City public high schools for selected performances in May and June. The show is working directly with the New York City Department of Education (DOE) and the NYCDOE Office of Arts and Special Projects to facilitate the program.

Roslyn Ruff Joins Cast of ALL THE WAY on Broadway


Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Louise Gund are pleased to announce that Roslyn Ruff will play the roles of Coretta Scott King and Fannie Lou Hamer in the Broadway bound production of ALL THE WAY by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan (The Kentucky Cycle). Ruff, who was most recently seen on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, joins previously announced three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston ('Breaking Bad') as Lyndon B. Johnson, Michael McKean as J. Edgar Hoover, Brandon J. Dirden as Martin Luther King, Jr., Rob Campbell as Governor George Wallace, and 5-time Tony nominee John McMartin (Into the Woods, High Society, Sweet Charity, Show Boat, Don Juan) as Richard Russell. Coretta Scott King, wife of Martin Luther King, Jr., helped lead the African-American Civil Rights Movement. STAGE TUBE: Sneak Peek at A.R.T.'s ALL THE WAY


The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University announced today that the run of Robert Schenkkan's new play All The Way, directed by Bill Rauch, is sold out. A limited number of standing room tickets will be sold on the day of each show - in person only and only one ticket per person - at the A.R.T. Ticket Services Office. There will be no standing room for previews, Opening Night, or the final performance. The production begins performances on September 13 and runs through Saturday, October 12. Staged Reading Of THESIS Held 6/16 At Meymandi Theatre


Burning Coal Theatre Company announces a staged reading of Thesis, a new play by Tom Bryant of Bristol, Tennessee. Thesis will be read on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00 pm at Meymandi Theatre at the Murphey School, located at 224 Polk St. in Raleigh.
