Maryland Ensemble Theatre Will Present ANGELS IN AMERICA PART ONE: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES


Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) will present Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches by Tony Kushner. Set in the shadow of the AIDS crisis, Angels in America is a character-driven piece that combines gritty realism and elements of the fantastic. The show centers on two young couples. Prior and Louis are facing a dynamic shift in the wake of Prior's devastating AIDS diagnosis. Joe and Harper are Mormon transplants to the city, whose marriage is tested when Joe is offered a new job from his boss, the infamous Roy Cohn. Winner of Tony and Pulitzer prizes, 'The Great Work' comes to Frederick this April.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents three guys, one dead playwright, and 37 plays in 97 minutes for their 20th Season Opener. An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays that is as clever as it is bawdy. Equally pleasing to the Shakespeare aficionado and the novice. MET will open its 2017-2018 season with The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised], written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents a grown up's prequel to Peter Pan, where a dozen actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters. An apprentice starcatcher (13 year-old Molly Aster) takes to the high seas with a trunk full of magic 'starstuff' and three orphan boys while being pursued by a boat-load of pirates. Peter and the Starcatcher was written by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Addams Family) with music by Wayne Barker. This adaptation is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by humorist Dave Barry and suspense writer Ridley Pearson.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is bringing the Frederick community a timeless sexy cult classic! Richard O'Brien's hit musical 'The Rocky Horror Show' has been making people jump up and dance to it's fun and provocative songs for decades, and this year the Frederick community can join in on the fun, thanks to MET and Frederick Community College. This show is an experience like no other.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre to Present OEDIPUS ROX, 4/8-5/1


Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) and MET ensemble members Sarah Shulman and Thom Huenger bring to life their spin on Greek Tragedy with a rocking performance of Oedipus Rox, sponsored by Kohl Building Products. Maryland Ensemble Theatre has announced its 2015-2016 Mainstage season. MET's 18th Mainstage season will run from September of 2015 through June of 2016 and will feature a cheeky English comedy, an original twist on a horror classic, a traditional holiday musical, and contemporary crowd pleasers.

MET Presents 'YOUNG OLYMPIANS' This Weekend


Mythological mayhem is returning to Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) this May when the award winning fun-filled family musical for all ages, 'The Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever', takes to the stage for one weekend only.  Olympians will play at MET, located at 31 W Patrick in downtown Frederick, this weekend, May 30 and 31 at 3:30pm.
