OPERA America has announced the winners of the inaugural Awards for Digital Excellence in Opera. The Awards for Digital Excellence in Opera recognize the best work created for digital platforms by individual producers and organizations in the U.S. and Canada, in four categories: Artistic Creation, Education/Enrichment Material, University/Conservatory Projects, and Noteworthy Projects.

Underground Railway Theater will present Nick Payne's Constellations from September 7 - October 8, 2017. Constellations is directed by Scott Edmiston.

LA Opera's 2016/17 season will conclude with the West Coast premiere of Thumbprint, an opera by composer Kamala Sankaram and librettist Susan Yankowitz about Pakistani human rights activist Mukhtar Mai. 

NAT TURNER IN JERUSALEM, the first production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) 2016/17 Season, will host a post-performance discussion entitled "…And Justice for All?" on Sunday, October 2 following the 7pm performance with leaders from the faith-based, legal, political, social justice, and artistic communities.

New York Theatre Workshop presents NAT TURNER IN JERUSALEM, written by NYTW 2050 Fellow Nathan Alan Davis (Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea) and directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian (The Convert). Ice Factory 2016 takes place at New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Ice Factory 2016 will present seven new works over seven weeks, running from June 29 - August 13, 2016.

On Monday, March 16, 2015, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to recognize the talents of five outstanding women: Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Kathleen Chalfant, Sandra A. Daley-Sharif, Rachel Dickstein, and Donyale Werle.

The USITT-USA curatorial team chose two shows from Ripe Time Theatre in New York, a multimedia production from Paul Abacus, a “wandering opera” staged at LA's Union Station, and performance pieces from faculty at Auburn University in Alabama and Colorado College as the best overall productions for the exhibit.

New Georges announces its 23rd production season, which will include the January 2015 remount of Kate Benson's A Beautiful Day on the Banks of the Greatest of the Great Lakes and the World Premiere of Ariel Stess' Heartbreak in May 2015.

INTAR presents the first production of its 2014 - '15 season: Teach, Teacher, Teachest by David Koteles, directed by Daniel Irizarry, beginning tonight, September 12th and continuing through October 5th only. Opening Night is set for Thursdsay, September 18th.
