Festival International de Jazz de Montreal Unveils the First Stars of its 41st Edition
National treasure Daniel Lanois will perform songs from his latest album, Heavy Sun, as well as a fine selection of hits from his impressive repertoire. Contemporary soul and R&B's rising star Charlotte Day Wilson will preview songs from her debut album, Alpha, released last month. As for Ranee Lee, she will present a concert that pays tribute to female vocal jazz legends. Let's also mention that renowned Montreal jazz pianist François Bourassa will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his eponymous quartet which also includes Guy Boisvert on bass, André Leroux on saxophone and Guillaume Pilote on drums.

Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal Announces New Season
What is the importance of classical music in today's world? This is a concern of Kent Nagano's, in his 12th year at the helm of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. And that question is at the source of the programming offered by the OSM for its 2017-2018 season, with the 375th anniversary of the city of Montréal well under way. Each week, Maison symphonique will resound to the sound of the Orchestra, with over 100 concerts being presented there.

Two Muses Theatre Sets Summer Theatre Camps
Two Muses Theatre, West Bloomfield's newest nonprofit professional theatre adds a theatre camp for 9th-12th graders this summer. The camp will give high school students the opportunity to add a new role to their re?sume? by working with a professional director and performing in a Shakespeare play. The camp runs August 3-23, with classes and rehearsals held Monday through Friday from 1pm-4pm.
