The White Lotus star Will Sharpe is set to take on the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a series adaptation of Amadeus. The series will be a reimagined verison of Peter Shaffer’s award-winning stage play, adapted by Joe Barton and directed by Julian Farino.

Brooklyn Rep will debut at The Divine with its third Scritches festival: four new plays developed through international collaborations inspired by the House of Dreams, presented 3-4 March.

Playwrights, directors and producers gathered at the May Fair Hotel on Monday for the third annual Tonic Awards, celebrating the achievements of women in theatre. In attendance, in addition to the aforementioned artists, were some of the theatre world's top movers and shakers, eager to show their support to a worthy cause.

Washington Bach Consort, America's premiere Baroque chorus and orchestra, announces the appointment of their new Artistic Director, Dr. Dana Marsh. After the tragic passing of their beloved Founder and Artistic Director, J. Reilly Lewis, in June of 2016, the Consort has been without a formal Artistic Director. For their 40th season in 2017/2018, the Consort underwent a unique auditioning process with the intent of filling the role both for the season and beyond. They compiled a Search Committee to identify five candidates and presented a full season of concerts, each lead by one of the candidates. Acclaimed comedian and magician Tom Hayes will perform at the new River Street Theatre (RST) in Jaffrey on the evening of January 30th.

The new River Street Theatre in Jaffrey, a project of The Park Theatre, will present the A Night of Comedy at Mount Monadnock with three award-winning comedians on the evening of January 23rd.

Fred Willard — one of this generation's most gifted comic actors and a favorite of Johnny Carson while serving as host of “The Tonight Show” — will be the recipient of the Johnny Carson Comedy Legend award at this summer's Great American Comedy Festival in Norfolk, Neb.

McQUEEN, which received its world premiere in May at St. James Theatre, where it broke box office records, will transfer to London's West End, opening at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on Thursday 27 August, following previews from 13 August, for a strictly limited season until 7 November.

Deadline writes that former GLEE star Dianna Agron will take on the lead in Scooter Corkle's upcoming indie drama HOLLOW IN THE LAND.

Award-winning actor Stephen Wight takes on the title role of Lee McQueen and Dianna Agron will play Dahlia in the world premiere of James Phillips's play McQUEEN directed by John Caird, which will run at St. James Theatre from 12 May to 27 June, with press nights on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May.  The play will also star Tracy-Ann Oberman as Isabella Blow, Laura Rees as Arabella, and David Shaw-Parker as John Hitchcock, along with Sophie Apollonia, Amber Doyle, George Hill, Eloise Hymas, Jordan Kennedy, Rachel Louisa Maybank, James Revell and Carrie Willis. Kathy Ruttenberg's ceramic sculptures have received wide critical acclaim. Roberta Smith from the New York Times calls Ruttenberg, 'a force to contend with as a narrator and symbolist, a form maker and colorist. Coating sexual tensions with a storybook innocence, she works in a triangle bordered by Louise Bourgeois, Viola Frey and Beatrix Potter.'

The Holiday Group Show is a great time for us to showcase the different artists at the gallery. Today we highlight three painters on our front wall. Sharon Sprung's new painting Fringe just arrived at the gallery this week. David Graeme Baker's Leap Day, along with two other new paintings by Baker, marks the first time in two years that new Bakers have been available in the gallery. Robert Jackson's Props was a favorite from his recent solo show at the gallery.

The summer group show has entered its last month, just in time for Todd Kenyon's two new paintings. Kenyon specializes in big canvases of beach and sky. The surf never looked so good as in Ocean Road Beach Bridgehampton by Kenyon.
