Casting for Music Circus' THE PRODUCERS, which runs July 12-17. THe production will star Tony Award-winner Gary Beach, Bob Amaral and Matt Loehr. Beach returns to the Wells Fargo Pavilion as Roger De Bris, the character he originated on Broadway and in the 2005 film version with Matthew Broderick. Last year, he appeared at Music Circus as King Arthur in Monty Python's 'Spamalot' and the year before as Nathan Detroit in 'Guys and Dolls.'

Casting for the 61st Music Circus season has been completed. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale has finalized the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, including The Producers, Oliver!, Anything Goes, Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, I Do! Musical Theatre West won top musical direction honors for its 2010 production of Sweeney Todd. John Glaudini took the prize for Best Musical Direction on the evening of January 17th at the Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards for the 2009-2010 awards season.

Nominees for the 2010 LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on the evening of Monday, October 18 at The Autry National Center for the American West in Griffith Park. The nominations were presented by 2009 Ovation Award winners Jake Broder, Vanessa Claire Smith, Michael Paternostro, Sarah Cornell, Tasha Ames and Hugo Armstrong, along with Ebony Rep Executive Director Wren Brown and LA Stage Alliance Executive Director Terence McFarland.

The announcement of the 2010 L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award nominees has been set for Monday, October 18 at 7:00 pm. The event will be hosted by Native Voices at the Autry, the resident theatre company at the Autry National Center, located in Griffith Park at 4700 Western Heritage Way in Los Angeles.
