Ryan-James (RJ) Hatanaka is a Canadian television, film and theater actor. He is known for his role as Detective Abe Tamura in the CW series Nancy Drew, Dr. Evan Wallace in the NBC series Nurses, and Gabriel Kinslow in the Hallmark series When Hope Calls.
His theater credits include Shakespeare in the Park's production of 'King Lear' co-starring John Lithgow and Annette Bening, 'Big Love' and 'The Sandbox' at New York's Signature Theatre, and 'Romeo & Juliet' at The Guthrie Theater. He has been the spokesperson for HBO Europe since 2016.
