Rosalind Brown recently starred as Alberta Hunter in the TOSOS production of LEAVING THE BLUES at The Flea Theatre. Broadway: Original cast of Footloose (Wendy Jo) and One Mo’ Time (Thelma). Regional: Dreamgirls (Lorrell), Ain’t Misbehavin (Nell), Little Shop of Horrors (Ronnette), European Tour of HAIR (Dionne), We Will Rock You: The Music of QUEEN (Paris Hotel; Las Vegas)


Television: When They See Us (NETFLIX) Orange Is The New Black (NETFLIX), Power (STARZ), BillIons (SHOWTIME), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (NETFLIX), The Leftovers (HBO), Broad City (Comedy Central), Law & Order: SVU (NBC), Third Watch (NBC), All My Children (ABC). Rosalind was also a solo opening act for legendary comedian Bob Newhart (Ft Worth Bass Performance Hall) and featured singer for comedian George Wallace at The Flaming Hotel in Las Vegas. She has shared the stage with late greats; Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Mary J Blige, and a host of other celebrated musical geniuses. Rosalind is currently rockin’ out as vocal director and feature female singer as part of the band Independent Council Of Funk (ICF) with "Morning Joe" host (MSNBC) and front man Joe Scaborough.

Casting has been announced for the upcoming New York City premiere of Leaving the Blues, a new play by Jewelle Gomez, directed by Mark Finley. Rosalind Brown (original Broadway productions of Footloose and One Mo' Time) will play the lead role of Alberta Hunter, the great American jazz singer and songwriter. The cast also features Michael Michele Lynch, Joy Suddath, Cooper Sutton, Benjamin Mapp, Ameerah Briggs, Tsebiyah Mishael Derry and Erik Ransom.
