Gingold Theatrical Group's 2023 Golden Shamrock Gala was held on Sunday October 29 at 6pm at Robert Restaurant. The evening honored humanitarian activists Dr. Wilma Bulkin Siegel, M.D.; Dr. Brian R. Saltzman, M.D.; and Ethan E. Litwin, all tireless supporters of human rights and the arts in New York, with the Golden Shamrock Award.

Gingold Theatrical Group held its Golden Shamrock Gala 2019, honoring humanitarian and award-winning creator of Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked, Stephen Schwartz, on Saturday, March 16th at 3 West Club (3 West 51st Street). Among some surprise guests performers were Stephen Schwartz himself, along with Claybourne Elder, Melissa Errico, and Alison Fraser.

Sundance Institute: Over Half a Million Dollarsto Groundbreaking Documentary Projects


More than $585,000 in targeted grants will support a global crop of independent nonfiction storytellers, Sundance Institute announced today. 57% of the supported projects are helmed by women, and 48% are from outside the U.S.; 34% of grantees are first-time feature filmmakers. This cohort is one of two that will be announced this year; projects are selected as part of an ongoing rolling call.

This year's gala was geared toward raising funds for GTG's full production of Shaw's masterpiece, Heartbreak House, which will run in New York's Theatre Row on 42nd Street from August 28 through September 29th.

RTP Re-Names Venue The Robert B. Moss Theatre


Richmond Triangle Players, one of the city's best-known and acclaimed cultural organizations, announced today that it has purchased its venue at 1300 Altamont Avenue in Scott's Addition, and that the building has been re-named the Robert B. Moss Theatre.  The new name honors the real estate entrepreneur who located the building for the company and provided the naming gift for the building.

Sundance Institute Sets Projects for Screenwriters Lab, Documentary Edit and Story Labs & New Theatre-Makers Residency


Sundance Institute has selected 25 projects to participate in its Screenwriters Lab, Documentary Edit and Story Labs and new Theatre-Makers Residency, which will take place concurrently this summer in the mountains of the Sundance Resort in Utah. The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history.
