Cherry Lane Theatre's Tongues Reading Series will present a staged reading of Dad Might've Killed That Girl, a new play by Lindsay Joy (The Rise and Fall of a Teenage Cyberqueen), December 11th on the MainStage at The Cherry Lane Theatre.

In the Event of My Death is about eight small-town twenty-somethings, who know each other from high school, who share an impromptu time of mourning and celebration after the suicide of a mutual friend. This play was originally developed through The Farm Theater's College Collaboration program, under the artistic direction of Padraic Lillis.

Bay Street Theater announces the success of its 23rd Annual Summer Gala, chaired by longstanding patrons of the theater and the arts, Christine Wachter-Campbell & Bill Campbell, and Pia & Jimmy Zankel, which took place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf last weekend on July 12, 2014 to benefit Bay Street's Scott Schwartz New Directions Fund, which supports a myriad of new programming initiatives and educational offerings. On Monday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall, The Carnegie Hall Notables hosted REVIVAL: Broadway's Next Act, a panel discussion focusing on the fresh approach that composers have recently introduced to Broadway, attracting audiences through a new range of media, from YouTube to MTV.
