The 16th edition of Malibu International Film Festival presented by Yelp proudly unveils the full lineup of films and special events that kicks off December 3 at Regal Cinemas Malibu with Chip Croft's powerful documentary Lost Compassion followed by the Opening Night Party at Cafe Habana.

FAT PIG tells the story of Tom (Jonathan Bray), a young career guy who hits it off with Helen (Deidra Edwards), a bright, sexy woman who happens to be plus-sized. As he reluctantly finds himself falling in love, Tom's colleagues (Kirsten Kollender and Nick Stabile) are brutal in their assessment of his new love. LaBute probes our carb-counting, extreme makeover nation by asking tough questions. How much has our relentless pursuit of beauty turned us into an uglier species?

Cow. Slob. Pig. How many insults can you tolerate before taking a stand to defend the woman you love? Neil LaBute's provocative comedy, Fat Pig opens April 26 at the Hudson Mainstage in Hollywood. The revival, directed by Alexis Jacknow, features new material not seen before in L.A.

While attempting to confront his career's inevitable downslide, unremarkable race car driver Bobby Horvath visits his family and friends back in Mansfield, Ohio, while trying to determine which way to go with his life. Over the course of numerous flashbacks, past and present collide as Bobby takes a serious look at where he has been and where he wants to be in the future. But if winning is all there is, it is going to be a long road for Bobby to make it to the finish line.

Terri Hanauer directs a rare revival of the celebrated Broadway drama that kick-started playwright/screenwriter John Bishop's career. Nick Stabile (Bride of Chucky, Dennis Wilson in ABC's award-winning The Beach Boys) heads the cast as once-great NASCAR racer Bobby Horvath in The Trip Back Down, opening Feb. 21 at the Whitefire Theatre.

SLOW DANCE IN MIDTOWN will preview on Tuesday, April 3; Wednesday, April 4 & Thursday, April 5 at 8pm and will open on Friday, April 6 and run through Saturday, May 12 at the Whitefire Theatre, 13500 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks.

After 17 years, Tony n' Tina are heading on their honeymoon. Route 66 Theatre Company will present the Chicago premiere of HIGH FIDELITY in its first major production since its Broadway run in 2006. The show started previews August 8, 2009; opened Monday, August 17 at 7 p.m.; and will run through October 11, 2009 at the Tony n' Tina's Wedding space at Pipers Alley Theater.
