The show, set in a mining camp in Gold Rush-era California, is the story of a dreaming gold miner and his daughter whose world is changed when the daughter finds gold-and love-near their camp. Ford's Theatre Society announced that Nicholas Stimler has been appointed to the position of Literary and Casting Director. Stimler was previously the Assistant to Broadway Director and Choreographer Jeff Calhoun, who is a Ford's Theatre Associate Artist. Stimler will manage literary submissions, develop of the Society's theatrical programming in conjunction with the Ford's programming staff and supervise casting for all productions.
