BWW catches up with comedian Mark Nelson to chat about bringing Bits & Pieces to the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

This evening Leicester Comedy Festival, the longest running comedy festival in Europe, presented Johnny Vegas with the Legend of Comedy award at their annual ceremony to honour comedians and others involved in the festival.

On Saturday 03 November BBC Radio 4 presenter Nicholas Parsons presents one-man show A Laugh A Minute at Theatre Royal Winchester.

Theatre Royal Winchester has a busy programme of varied performance this November, including two special events commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Tonight Leicester Comedy Festival hosted its annual award ceremony at The Haymarket Theatre (Leicester) honouring the comedians, venues and promoters that make the festival one of the largest and most successful in Europe. The ceremony was hosted by Mark Dolan and attended by Nicholas Parsons who collected the Legend of Comedy Award.  Previous legends have included Victoria Wood, Barry Cryer, Rik Mayall, Ken Dodd and Sir Norman Wisdom.

Leicester Comedy Festival (7th 25th February) today launches its 2018 festival line-up with a bumper 164 page brochure, featuring 836 events across 69 venues, performed by 613 comedians and performers; an increase of 8.5% on last year.

Ross Leadbeater, the award-winning singer-pianist and musical director, has just released his debut EP and to his surprise, it reached the Top 3 in the iTunes Classical Album Charts - the only release in the top 20 without a major label. Following his critically acclaimed solo UK Tour, Ross is officially launching the album in London at the Pheasantry tonight 29th June and will be joined by special guests Laura Pitt-Pulford and Leigh Rhianon Coggins.

NICHOLAS PARSONS is to narrate the London Premiere of Nathaniel Stookey's The Composer Is Dead with text by Lemony Snicket - a diabolically fun-filled Family Concert at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall on Saturday 16 April at 1200hrs - part of the 11-day Festival of the Menuhin Competition London 2016.

Gary Naylor sees a fine selection of Sondheim's extraordinary songs delivered by an all-star cast for two very good causes in the magnificent setting of the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

West End leading lady Imelda Staunton is among a list of stars lending support to a charity gala to honour Stephen Sondheim at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane this October. Staunton comments, This year, Stephen Sondheim turned 85, and some of his old friends here in London - and I'm sure a few young ones - feel that we'd like to do something to celebrate. But we need your help to make it happen.
