Today, alt-country legends The Long Ryders announce they're heading back on tour in support of their critically acclaimed 30-years in the making comeback album, Psychedelic Country Soul, via Omnivore Recordings. The band's original line up, Sid Griffin, Stephen McCarthy, Tom Stevens, and Greg Sowders will hit the road starting September 11, 2019 in Louisville, KY. It's the band's first dates in the US since 2017.
The Messthetics are an instrumental trio featuring Brendan Canty (drums), Joe Lally (bass), and Anthony Pirog (guitar). The trio will continue to tour throughout the spring and summer, including performances at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Primavera Sound, and the David Lynch-curated Festival of Distruption.

At long last, Kinky Friedman's second musical act begins. With the proclamation that here “is what music was, before it came homogenized, trivialized and sanitized,” Kinky is dropping his first all-new CD of original tunes in four decades. Called Circus of Life, it presents a side of Kinky that few would have suspected in the halcyon days of his Texas Jewboys, laying perhaps legit claim to the title “The Leonard Cohen of Texas.” On July 3, 2018, he will release it on his own terms and on his own Echo Hill Records.
