On the coldest night of the year, spirits were high at The Call Bar in the Andersonville neighborhood, as the 2014 BroadwayWorld Chicago Awards Celebration was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Hosted by BroadwayWorld Chicago Regional Editor Paul W. Thompson and The Call's hostess, Ashley Morgan, the Celebration lasted from 8:00 pm to the stroke of midnight, as the winners in 36 categories were revealed.
In the wake of the tragic loss of Actor Bernie Yvon, 50, in a car accident on his way to rehearsal of WOMEN ON THE VERGE, Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, IN the theater has moved its press opening to Sunday, Sept. 21 at 2:30pm. Previews begin Saturday, Sept. 13, with George Andrew Wolff assuming the role of the taxi driver that Mr. Yvon had been scheduled to play. After the opening, a small tribute reception will take place at the theater for attendees of the performance.

Actress Molly Glynn, star of the hit NBC drama series CHICAGO FIRE, has died at the age of 46 in a tragic accident.
The Chicago theatre community suffered a shocking loss as two well-known local actors suddenly passed away this weekend. According to the Chicago Tribune, Molly Glynn, age 46, was killed by a falling tree as she was riding her bike on September 5. Bernie Yvon, age 50, died in a car crash on his way to rehearsal on Saturday morning for Theatre at the Center's production of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown in Munster, Indiana.

While a delightful comedy, Miracle on South Division Street builds itself on a realistic family drama. Set in Buffalo, NY, a family has grown up around a statue of the Virgin Mary commemorating their own miracle. Through out the play the Nowaks reveal the legend of their miracle and it has unforeseen effects on the family, particularly mother Clara (Peggy Roeder) and daughter Ruth (Ellen Noel Grennan).
