On Thursday, September 24th, Playhouse on Park is bringing its beloved Comedy Night to Dunkin' Donuts Park, Home of the Hartford Yard Goats, at 7pm (gates open at 6pm). Mike Murray and Bill Simas will co-headline for 90 minutes of laughs! Tickets are $15. Outside food & drink is not permitted. Seating will be socially distanced between parties. You will not need a physical ticket, your name and party size will be on a check in list at the gate/entry way. Masks must be worn at all times unless you are in your seat. Dunkin' Donuts Park requires social distancing at all times. Seating is limited. Parking is $7 (cash only). Concessions will be open.

On June 16 at 6:00 P.M., the Long Beach Playhouse will present the seventh annual Long Beach Playhouse Radio Hour at the offices of Keesal Young and Logan. This truly unique event is a fundraiser for the Playhouse which, at 88 years, is one of the city's oldest arts organizations.

'Possibility Junkie' is a new musical theater work by David Ippolito (music, lyrics, book) and directed by Gretchen Cryer ('I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road'), who co-authored the book. The story is based loosely on the career of David Ippolito, who is known to hundreds of thousands of people across the country and around the world as 'That Guitar Man from Central Park.' Part singer/songwriter, part storyteller, part social-commentator and humorist, Ippolito has become famous for his simple catch phrase, 'It's just us,' and his ability to turn a large crowd of strangers into a group of friends. Theater for the New City will present the world premiere tonight, September 28 to October 20, 2013.
