Derry Girls meets Spring Awakening in this absolute triumph of new musical theatre writing. Performed by a talented young cast, this is a show that deserves a very long life. We’ll Have Nun Of It follows a year in the life of four close friends at an Irish Catholic boarding school in the 1960s. Each of the girls has their own backstory and personality, very quickly distinctive, and the dynamics between each of them are fun to watch play out.

A new musical -- “Alien8” -- written by Kate Brennan and David Lee White was developed with and written for teenagers and speaks to intergenerational views of gender, identity, and inclusion within an anthem of belonging, love, and acceptance.

59E59 Theaters continue their Brits off Broadway festival of shows with 'Cassie and the Lights.'  It is a unique, entertaining, and poignant play by Patch of Blue in association with New Diorama Theatre.

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) have announced a Relaxed Performance of Cassie and the Lights, presented by Patch of Blue in association with New Diorama Theatre and Xinyi Shen for Verse Unbound and Amelia Campbell, which will be held on Saturday June 24 at 2:15 PM. Written and directed by Alex Howarth (he/him; Let the Right One In), Cassie and the Lights will begin previews on June 13 in Theater B with an opening night set for June 17 and running through July 2 as part of 59E59's Brits Off Broadway 2023 Season.

Back by popular demand, Bucks County Playhouse’s storytelling series returns this spring and features Gastor Almonte, Stuart Carroll, Ophira Eisenberg, Faye Lane, Michaela Murphy and Abraham Norfleet. WORD OF MOUTH: BUSTED is hosted by Murphy and Eisenberg and will take place on Saturday, May 13 with shows at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.

Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company will remount their original production Alien8 this summer!

This year, Bucks County Playhouse celebrates the 55th Annual Student Theater Festival. The festival performances, which are open to the public, will be held on April 17-20 and April 24-27, 2023.

59E59 Theaters has announced productions for the Brits Off Broadway 2023 Season, their annual celebration of U.K. theatre.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) hosted its first-ever full student matinee, on Thursday, October 20 at 11 a.m. Students from seven middle and high schools from throughout the region attended a special performance of the Playhouse’s acclaimed production of “Evita,” followed by a talk-back session with members of the cast and educators from the Playhouse. When Cassie's mother disappears, the teenager wants to care for her sisters on her own. Is she the right person to be a parent now, or should she let foster parents adopt her sisters and create a new family? Based on real-life events and interviews with children in care and with live music, Cassie and the Lights examines our ideas of what makes a family.

A buried secret and a community determined to keep it that way, a catastrophic event twists, breaks, and reshapes every facet of their lives, a mysterious stranger appears who seems to know them better than they know themselves. 

Albo and Almonte's show continues the Playhouse's tradition of storytelling events which was established in 2017 with the arrival of Michaela Murphy as Bucks County Playhouse's Director of Education.

 Following a sold-out run this fall, The Wooster Group’s new production of Bertolt Brecht’s The Mother, directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, will return to New York for a special limited engagement. Performances will run February 18 to March 12, 2022, at The Performing Garage (33 Wooster Street).
