OPERA America has revealed the winners of the 2023 Awards for Digital Excellence in Opera

Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. has announced its slate of director nominees for its upcoming 2023 annual meeting of stockholders. The slate consists of the Company's nine incumbent directors and new director nominee William E. (Bill) Haslam, the former Governor of the State of Tennessee from 2011 to 2019.

The Broad Stage continues its collaboration with Red Hen Press for the second event of the 2019-2020 season, Red Hen Press: Facets of Fatherhood, on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00pm in The Edye at The Broad Stage. The afternoon will feature performance and poetry with Carlo Ponti, Edoardo Ponti and the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the on-sale date and full programming for its acclaimed biennial Without Walls (WOW) Festival, a four-day celebration of site-based and interactive performances, taking place October 17 a?" 20 at San Diego's ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station, in partnership with the NTC Foundation.

The Broad Stage continues their collaboration with Red Hen Press for their final event of the season, Red Hen Press: The Figure of Orpheus in Poetry and Performance on Sunday, April 28 in The Edye at The Broad Stage. Poets selected by Poetry Society of America Director Alice Quinn will perform contemporary poems on the Orphic theme. A film clip from Marcel Camus' Black Orpheus will be shown to represent the theme in cinema, and pianist Paul Barnes will captivate the audience with The Orphee Suite for Piano, his amazing transcription of Philip Glass's symphony Orphee for solo piano. This event is sponsored in partnership with The Poetry Society of America and Red Hen Press.

The Broad Stage continues their collaboration with Red Hen Press for Red Hen Press: The Fool in the World on Sunday, February 10 in The Edye at The Broad Stage. Composer Sophia Serghi and writer Nancy Schoenberger combine to present a multi-art performance piece comprising original music, poetry and artwork, inspired by the imagery of the 22 cards of the Tarot's Major Arcana. This piece is presented in conversation with the narrative poetry of Judy Grahn and Brynn Saito.

It is no small feat to create a believable portrait of a great artist that pays equal homage to their creative genius and their ordinary hopes, struggles, and failures. Playwright Jim McGrath does exactly this for Ernest Hemingway in PAMPLONA. Under Robert Falls' direction, renowned actor Stacy Keach returns to the role he was meant to play in spring of 2017, before a mild heart attack prevented the Goodman's world premiere production from opening. It was worth the wait.

Stage and screen veteran Stacy Keach is Ernest Hemingway in Pamplona by Jim McGrath, directed by Robert Falls-now appearing in the Owen Theatre through August 19. Originally scheduled for spring 2017, Pamplona appeared for 11 preview performances, but never opened: Goodman Theatre canceled the run after Keach suffered a mild heart attack and doctors ordered recuperation. 

"Henry IV," staged by Tony Award winning director Daniel Sullivan, features Harry Groener as Northumberland, Tom Hanks in his Los Angeles stage debut as Sir John Falstaff, Hamish Linklater as Hal, Joe Morton as Henry IV, and Tony winner Rondi Reed as Mistress Quickly.
