American Repertory Theater (A.R.T) announces that Tony Award winner Patina Miller will appear November 16, 17, and 18 as the featured guest in ExtraOrdinary, a celebration of musical theater at the A.R.T.

Amphibian Presents NY Premiere of SUN SONGS: THREE MICRO-OPERAS Tonight

Amphibian presents the New York premiere of Augusta Read Thomas' Sun Songs: Three Micro-Operas based on texts of Emily Dickinson featuring soprano Cyndie Berthezene and the Temple University Percussion Ensemble with video by John Gurrin. Gurrin's video tapestry for John Cage's String Quartet No. 1 was recently praised by The New Yorker's Alex Ross for its 'deliquescing landscapes.' This concert also features the world premiere of Matthew Greenbaum's surreal, ecstatic Headshot for video animation and electronic sound along with the New York premiere of Andrew Taylor's On Coming Out and a piece by James Tenney. Maya Deren and Alexander Hammid's short film, Meshes of the Afternoon, will be screened.

Composer Augusta Read Thomas to Premiere Four Pieces in 2012 - 2013

A440 Arts Group announces four major world premieres by American composer Augusta Read Thomas taking place in the upcoming 2012-2013 season, including commissions from the University of Notre Dame, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, China, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Praised for her extraordinary compositional versatility, Augusta Read Thomas has been praised as "a prodigious talent" (Russell Platt, The New Yorker) whose music "fairly explodes with an extroverted boldness of utterance audiences and musicians alike find challenging yet immediate. It's music that doesn't sound like anybody else's-music that insists you pay attention." (John von Rhein, The Chicago Tribune)

The American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) presents the fifth production of its 2008-09 Season: Samuel Beckett?s iconic masterpiece Endgame, directed by Marcus Stern, at the A.R.T.?s Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge. The production begins performances on Saturday, February 14 and runs through Sunday, March 15; it will be available for press viewing from Wednesday, February 18 at 7:30pm.
