Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), the nation's premier presenter of American tap dance and international contemporary percussive arts, kicks off a new year with two events: its Winter DANCE Free-4-All, a week of FREE classes January 4-9, and its annual Winter Tap JAMboree, featuring master classes, auditions for the Tap Scholar Program and Nicholas Young's Institute For The Rhythmic Arts (IFTRA), the return of the Tap Off competition and a Tap JAM January 22-24.

The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), celebrating 25 years of creating community through American tap and contemporary percussive arts in world-class, innovative performance, education and outreach programs, presents the 25th annual Rhythm World. The oldest and most comprehensive festival of American tap and contemporary percussive arts in the world takes place July 6-August 2 at CHRP's American Rhythm Center in Chicago's historic Fine Arts Building, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Jazz Showcase. Rhythm World is presented in association with the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), celebrating 25 years as the nation's premier presenter of American tap dance and international contemporary percussive arts, welcomes students and performers to its annual Winter Tap JAMboree this weekend, February 13-15, 2015, featuring master classes, auditions for the Tap Scholar Program and Nicholas Young's Institute For The Rhythmic Arts (IFTRA), a panel discussion and several Tap JAMs at the American Rhythm Center, Chicago's collaborative arts space in the historic Fine Arts Building, 410 S. Michigan Ave., Suite 300, Chicago.

The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) celebrates 25 years of creating community through American tap and contemporary percussive arts in world-class, innovative performance, education and outreach programs with a series of exciting programs in 2015, including STOMPING GROUNDS, a free concert sampler April 14­-May 8; the Chicago Rhythm Fest finale concert May 13 at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University; and special guest Tony Award winner Tommy Tune receiving CHRP's JUBA! Award at its 25th Anniversary Jubalee July 30 at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Tapman Productions, a newly formed Chicago-based tap company, and Artistic Director Tristan Bruns are proud to announce an inaugural full-length season at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave. The season includes three original productions: The Adventures of Tapman (January 28 - February 8, 2015) featuring a tap dancing superhero, The Tapmen Repertory Performance (May 29 - June 7, 2015), a unique collaboration integrating tap dance and modern dance and Tapman Productions presents MADD Rhythms (September 11 - 20, 2015), a performance that showcases fellow tap dance company, MADD Rhythms.

Chicago Human Rhythm Project Receives NEA Grant

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Jane Chu announced today that Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), celebrating 25 years as the nation's premier presenter of American tap dance and international contemporary percussive arts, is one of 919 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant. CHRP is recommended for a $20,000 grant to support programming during its 25th Anniversary Season, including the Winter Tap Jamboree (February 2015), Chicago Rhythm Fest (April-May 2015), Rhythm World education programs at the American Rhythm Center (July 2015) and JUBA! concerts at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (August 2015).
