ABIGAIL/1702 is playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's exploration of the aftermath of the 1692 Salem witch trials. Merrimack Repertory Theatre and Director Tlaloc Rivas push all the right buttons to give the audience a scary ride. The outstanding design elements create an atmosphere that is spooky on many levels, and Rachel Napoleon is convincing as the troubled young accuser trying to escape her past.
This fall Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) presents the regional premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's 'Abigail/1702', the haunting play that asks what might have happened ten years after the Salem witch trials. At the center of the story is Abigail Williams, the young accuser of 1692's Salem Village, as she tries to begin a new life after the hysteria has subsided-yet remains haunted at every turn by terrors of the past. Tlaloc Rivas directs.
The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced winners for the 2013-2014 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening at the awards ceremony at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center. The evening was hosted by Rob Cleveland. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Actor's Express in the King Plow Arts Center of Atlanta. Guest announcers included performers Christy Baggett, Laura Cole, Danielle Deadwyler, and Tess Malis Kincaid.

The show will run August 21 - September 7, 2014. The show will feature Alex Bond, Lane Carlock, Shannon Eubanks and Mark Kincaid. This is the 38th season for Theatrical Outfit, the second-oldest professional theater company in Atlanta, and the home of stories that stir the soul.

Over the course of the show both come to realize how important they are to each other, and how a place known as 'home' can drive a wedge between two people and ultimately bring them back together.
