Michener), music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, with musical direction by Brent Crayon, choreography by Peggy Hickey and directed by Glenn Casale.  SOUTH PACIFIC will preview on Friday, April 20, 2018 (with a press opening on Saturday, April 21 at 8pm) and run through Sunday, May 13, 2018 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.  

The Colony Theatre in Burbank has announced four performances of A Little Night Music In Concert from September 21 24. The concert presentation of this classic musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler will be directed by Laura Stribling and feature musical direction by Jennifer Lin. Sarah Jo Provost serves as assistant director.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment presented the fifth and final production in its 2013-1014 season of shows with the Los Angeles regional theatre premiere of one of the most beloved musicals of all time, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the Tony award-winning, LES MISERABLES. It is practically impossible not to be pulled into the passionately earthy, very Italian world of fictional film director Guido Contini (David Michael Trevino) in Maury Yeston's 1982 darkly breathtaking musical Nine. Guido's mental turmoil, a series of vivid images that come fiercely plummeting into the recesses of the mind, are staged here in every crook and cranny of the entire space. He's desperately trying to create a screenplay piece by piece and at the same time is playing out, in tormented fashion, various events of his personal life from age 9 to 40. An exceedingly theatrical exhibition, to say the least! Apart from the staging, Yeston's exotic score makes the images come provocatively to life. Known for some pretty terrific singing, DOMA accepts the challenges of Nine and with director Marco Gomez pulling out the stops and letting his skilled cast reach for the stars, this production works on many levels, will entertain you, and even make you muse from time to time.

On Sunday evening March 18 petite, lovely Reba Buhrmade her long awaited cabaret debut at Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's with Will He Like Me? A Loves Story. Miss Buhr was one of the top five runners up of LA's Next Great Stage Star 2011 and is currently the host of Disney 365 on the Disney Channel. She also plays several roles at the Disneyland Resort including Jasmine in Aladdin! A Musical Spectacular.

Due to the high demand for advanced ticket sales resulting in a number of sold-out shows, the Vortex Theater Company is releasing additional tickets for every performance of its upcoming production, Kiss of the Spider Woman - The Musical. The Vortex has also created a select number of obstructed view seats for a discounted ticket price of $12.

For the second production in its 2007 season of musicals, the Vortex Theater Company will premiere its radical new vision of Kander and Ebb's Kiss of the Spider Woman - The Musical, directed by Gisela Cardenas with musical direction by Milica Paranosic
