In his never-ending quest to spotlight great talent across the country, host Jim Caruso took his Cast Party to the Franklin Theatre just outside of Nashville for a rip-roarin’ celebration.  Nashville is nicknamed “Music City” for good reason.  The city’s passionate obsession with the history and creation of music is palpable.  Almost everyone has a demo, a lead sheet, a song in their hearts, or on their hard drives! 

“Jim Caruso's Cast Party,” the extreme open mic/variety show, made it's Nashville debut at The Franklin Theatre on September 7.  A packed house was privy to performances by Grammy winners, legends from the Country Music Hall of Fame, Broadway, pop, gospel and blues singers.

The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday night, February 8,  Broadway Sessions opens the microphone up to our audience + special guests

This Thursday night, November 30th, Broadway Sessions goes OPEN MIC for the last time in 2017 + pint size special guests. Pint size vocalists scheduled to perform include MiMi Ryder (Matilda), Talia Ryder (Matilda), Lala (South Pacific/Recording Artist), Will Ehren, Robert Montano and Hunter Kovacs.

GOOD MORNING, THEATERATI! It's Tuesday, May 30, 2017 - and we hope you've sufficiently recovered from Memorial Day Weekend so that you're able to face the rest of the week with the necessary intent to achieve all that's possible in a world where white pants and white shoes are acceptable (it's summer, after all…well, unofficially, from a social standpoint)! All of this prompts us to ask the musical question: What did you do this holiday weekend? Social media was fairly abuzz with all manner of outings and adventures perpetrated by the theaterati, including both Amy Prough Stumpfl and Nancy Allen attending a performance of Hamilton in Chicago, where Belmont University Musical Theatre alumni Candace Quarrels and Chris Lee are starring!

The biggest Monday Musicals to date took place at XL Cabaret on Monday, October 21st. Revelers celebrated XL Promotional Director Dougie Meyer's birthday and sang and danced along to VJ Tony Built's music and visuals from some of Broadway's biggest shows, which could be viewed across a half-dozen screens throughout the club.
