Rivendell Theatre Ensemble has announced its 2022 Fall line-up including the return of the Fresh Produce Festival: A Celebration of New Plays by Women; and the World Premiere of A Mile in the Dark by Emily Schwend, directed by RTE member Georgette Verdin, in a co-production with Interrobang Theatre Project.

Continuing our series of interviews of Austin Theatre companies and the artists behind them, BroadwayWorld had the opportunity to talk to Benjamin Summers about StreetCorner Arts during their Tech Week for their latest production, PERFECT MENDACITY.

Street Corner Arts has announced Michael Stuart, Aaron Johnson and Christopher Alvarenga will star in their upcoming production of ORPHANS by Lyle Kessler.  The production is directed by native Austinite Sarah Kimberly Becker. Earlier this Spring, Street Corner selected Johnson and Becker to helm their pioneer production of the Company's Sidewalk Series. The program, in its inaugural year, mentors promising Austin theatre-makers in producing and fully realizing a production.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater In Partnership with UCF will celebrate the lasting enjoyment and widespread significance of William Shakespeare's sonnets by presenting a reading of all 154 sonnets on February 12th from 11am-3pm. The Plaza Courtyard in downtown Orlando will become the stage as elected officials, supporters of the Arts, company presidents, celebrities, actors, and other members of the Central Florida community participate in bringing Shakespeare's words to life more than 400 years later. Orlando Shakespeare Theater's Artistic Director, Jim Helsinger, will act as the Sonnet-a-thon's Master of Ceremonies and host.
