As a theatre person, I can confidently say if my life were suddenly a musical, I'd be thrilled. Isn't the what many of us crave, anyway? The combo of having the world not only revolve around our story, but supplemented with harmonies and well-rehearsed choreography?

Lovers Queenie and Burrs decide to throw the party to end all parties in their Manhattan apartment. After the colorful arrival of a slew of guests living life on the edge, Queenie's wandering eyes land on a striking man named Black. As the decadence is reaching a climax, so is Burrs' jealousy which erupts and sends him into a violent rage. Gun in hand and inhibitions abandoned Burrs turns on Queenie and Black. The gun gets fired, but who's been shot?

24SEVEN is a 24-hour theatre project in the ever-blossoming theatre scene in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The process entails enlisting SEVEN talented playwrights to create SEVEN brand new short plays within the allotted time the night before we produce them.

Tick, Tick…Boom! is Jonathan Larson's autobiographical musical that centered on his period of struggle before becoming successful with the Broadway hit Rent.

Ignite Theatre presents 'tick... tick...BOOM!' April 17 through May 17 at the Aurora Fox Studio Theatre, 9900 East Colfax Avenue. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays and Monday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

I have to compliment Ignite Theatre for picking the talent needed to pull off the heavy, lead roles required for this show.

Aida, the Tony Award winning musical based on the Verdi opera, is the story of the unlikely love triangle between Amneris, the Pharo's daughter, Radames, captain of the Egyptian army and Aida, an enslaved Nubian princess. As a forbidden love blossoms between Aida and Radames, the young lovers are between love, responsibility or death. A timeless star crossed love story that sets a shining example of true devotion that transcends the cultural differences of race and, ultimately, time itself.
