The Orpheum Theatre kicks off its spectacular 2013-2014 Broadway season with FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL. FLASHDANCE, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, will perform at The Orpheum Theatre on September 19-25. BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORYwill follow October 15-20.

Despite having a cast of incredible triple threats, overall, FLASHDANCE: THE MUSICAL---the new, Broadway-bound stage musical based on the popular 80's-era movie of the same name---seems like a well-meant endeavor that needs a serious overhaul in its disjointed execution. The national tour company continues its Costa Mesa stop at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts through May 19.

York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), celebrating the legendary librettist and lyricist Tom Jones with Musicals in Mufti: The Tom Jones Festival, presents the fourth musical in the spring series: Colette Collage, with Book & Lyrics by Tom Jones and Music by Harvey Schmidt. The limited engagement will play 5 performances tonight, April 27 through April 29 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
