Jim DiMunno BIO

Jim DiMunno has been working on stage and back stage for over 17 years; always growing as an artist with each experience in acting, training, or set design/construction; living the trade as a creative journeyman. A recent graduate of the Summer Conservatory program with The Stella Adler Studio and has been seen variously in Off-Off Broadway theatre (Satire Off Broadway, Woyzeck, The Session), the regions (The Three Musketeers, In The Beginning, West Side Story), summer-stock (Crossing Delancy, Blithe Spirit), and festivals (Orpheus Descending). He is quite excited to have been invited to join the ensemble of The Seeing Place, and enthused to practice the art in a generous community of fellows.

The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company Presents BETTY'S SUMMER VACATION

Looking for a little rest and time to herself, Betty rents a summer share at the beach. But Betty's luck turns to delicious lunacy when this sensible Everywoman gets drawn into the chaotic world of some very unsavory housemates - her friend Trudy who talks too much; the lewd, seminaked Buck, who tries to have sex with everyone; and Keith, a possible serial killer who hides in his room with a mysterious hat box. With sand between her toes, walking a thin line between sanity and survival, poor Betty will leave her summer vacation more terrorized than tan.

BWW Review: The Engeman's 1776

In seeing the Tony winning Sherman Edwards/Peter Stone musical 1776, we get an interesting account of the events leading up to the signing of the Declaration Of Independence. It is actually uncanny - and kind of funny - how this story still resonates today; petty arguing amongst congress and how divided 'leaders' can be are emphasized in this production. Obviously we've come far since then but, at the same time, it seems not far at all.
