HALONA&OPHELIA , a fresh and innovative all female musical, a book and co-lyrics by Hanako Greensmith and music and lyrics by Sandra Okuboyejo (www.sandraokuboyejo.com) , has been selected for this year's Pace New Musicals lab.

For those craving a night of innovative and off-beat musical theater with no shortage of drinks and a lively crowd, Pace University and Ryan Scott Oliver presented an evening of songs from hot, new musicals - all written, performed and directed by freshmen from Pace University's BFA Musical Theater program on May 10 at Feinstein's/54 Below. This past week, Broadway Workshop presented their 2nd annual benefit concert at NYC's famed supper club - Feinstein's/54 Below. This years show was entitled - SHOWS WE'LL NEVER DO featuring songs from musicals that Broadway Workshop will likely never produce including; Avenue Q, Gypsy. Into the Woods, The Color Purple, Grey Gardens, The Life, Heathers, Dear Evan Hansen, The Last 5 Years, Spring Awakening and Hamilton. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

Last week, CABARET returned to NYC for a sold out run at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in NYC. CABARET was produced by the Broadway Workshop and Project Broadway as their 2016 Main Stage production. Scroll down for photos of the cast in action!

Paper Mill Playhouse hosted its Center Stage Celebration on Friday, May 13th at the Hilton Short Hills. The benefit honored eight time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken with the theater's prestigious Frank Carrington Excellence in the Arts Award. There to add to the entertainment of the evening and help honor the music man was Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Laura Benanti.
