At 7:30 PM EDT on Saturday August 15, the Hangar Theatre Company will host the Tom Niederkorn Memorial Celebration. This will be a virtual event that will be available for free on the Hangar's YouTube page.

The Hangar Theatre Company opens its 46th summer season (and first ever virtual season), with a reading of The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder on Saturday, May 23rd. The cast consists of over 20 artists who live in the Ithaca area, or who have appeared in a Hangar Mainstage production.

For the fifth production in their 48th annual summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre will present the exciting thriller comedy Sleuth written by Anthony Shaffer.  Performances will run from August 14 – 24 with evening show times at 7:30. Cortland Repertory Theatre is now entertaining audiences with the super-fun musical comedy Legally Blonde at their picturesque summer location at the Little York Pavilion in Preble, New York. It is a fabulously fun musical directed by Trey Compton and a wonderful summer treat covered in pink sprinkles for the summer.

Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the MGM film, the movie was adapted for the stage by Heather Hach, with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin.

Fitz&Startz Productions, in collaboration with Opera Ithaca, is bringing a music- and laugh-filled production to Kitchen Theatre Company, 417 West MLK/State Street, in October. The Mystery of the Magic Flute by Rachel Lampert, with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, plays for four performances only: Saturday, October 21 and Saturday, October 28 at 1pm and 3pm. The Hangar Theatre will present A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as this season's musical from June 29 until July 15, 2017. The musical combines the classical Broadway fare, the comedy of ancient Rome, and a healthy shake of vaudeville.

Finishing out its 40th Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre will be producing the regional premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, Other Desert Cities. Directed by Mark Shanahan, who is making his Hangar Theatre directing debut, Other Desert Cities will run from July 31, until August 9, 2014. Join the cast, crew, and Hangar staff on opening night, Friday, August 1 at 8pm at the Hangar Theatre, as they celebrate the last show of their 40th Anniversary of the Mainstage Season.
