From acrobats to can-can dancers Montalvo Arts Center's historical Villa and grounds were transformed into the iconic Parisian night club Moulin Rouge for its biennial fundraising gala, Moulin Montalvo: A Gala Night in Montmartre on June 16. The event broke all previous fundraising records, collecting more than half a million dollars for the arts organization. The evening included live entertainment, an array of sumptuous cuisine by Le Papillon paired with Champagne Taittinger and French wines, plus a high-spirited live auction. The $600,000 raised from this black-tie event will support the Center's artistic and educational programming efforts and ongoing mission to engage the community in the creative process.

For one night only, Montalvo Arts Center will transform into the iconic Parisian night club Moulin Rouge for its biennial fundraising gala, Moulin Montalvo: A Gala Night in Montmartre. The evening will include a variety of dazzling surprises as guests are invited to mingle with colorful artists and can-can dancers, savor sumptuous cuisine by Le Papillon paired with paired with Champagne Taittinger and sophisticated French vintages, and dance the night away in the historic Villa. A highlight of the evening will be a high-spirited live auction, featuring once-in-a-lifetime experience packages. Proceeds from this black-tie event will go to support the Center's artistic and educational programming efforts and ongoing mission to engage the community in the creative process. Moulin Montalvo will take place Saturday, June 16 at 5:30pm at Montalvo Arts Center, 15400 Montalvo Rd, Saratoga. A glittering group representing theatre and technology worlds celebrated a beautiful friendship Saturday night when TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, staged its annual TheatreWorks Honors gala June 21 at the Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club, this year paying tribute to Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning Broadway composer Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party, The Addams Family, Big Fish) and Ray Rothrock, Partner Emeritus of pioneering venture capital firm Venrock.
