A music video for the new song 'What’s My Name (Red Version)' has debuted on DisneyMusicVEVO and is the first track to be released from the soundtrack. China Anne McClain reprises her popular “Descendants 2” anthem as Uma, the daughter of Ursula - alongside Kylie Cantrall who stars as Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts and the franchise’s newest Villain Kid (VK). Watch the video here!

Disney+ has released a new teaser and poster for “Descendants: The Rise of Red,” the next installment in the mega-hit “Descendants” franchise that features the teenage progeny of iconic Disney heroes and villains.

New series regular Max Matenko (“Platonic”) plays Justin’s youngest son, Milo, and joins the previously announced cast, including Janice LeAnn Brown (Disney’s “Just Roll with It”) in the lead role as a young, powerful wizard Billie; and more. Selena Gomez is set to make guest appearances.

Alex Boniello has joined the cast of the new Descendants movie musical on Disney+. The Spring Awakening and Dear Evan Hansen star will play Jack of Diamonds, the captain of the Queen of Hearts' Red Army. He joins the recently confirmed Paolo Montalban, who will reunite with his “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” co-star Brandy.

Montalban will portray King Charming, Cinderella’s (Brandy) husband and Chloe’s (Malia Baker) dad, who is as much in love with Cinderella as he ever was.  He previously played Prince Charming opposite Brandy’s Cinderella in Walt Disney Television’s iconic 1997 movie “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”

Disney+ has green-lit a pilot for “Witch Mountain,'' a reimagining of the successful film franchise. The series is a modern reinvention of the cult classic that takes place in the shadow of “Witch Mountain,” following two teens that develop strange abilities and discover their sleepy suburb may not be as idyllic as it seems. 

'Intercats,' an animated sitcom set in a cat workplace, is in development at Disney Branded Television with multiple Emmy Award-winning Baobab Studios and screenwriter Pamela Ribon (recipient of the Cristal Award at the 2022 Annecy International Animation Film Festival and writer of two of Disney's 'Ralph Breaks the Internet' and 'Moana').

Brandy Norwood will return to the role of Cinderella, which she first played in Disney’s 1997 “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella,” in a new installment to the Descendants musical franchise on Disney+. She joins Rita Ora, China Anne McClain, Kylie Cantrall, Dara Reneé, and Morgan Dudley, who recently starred in 'Jagged Little Pill' on Broadway.

The expansive new story introduces 'Red,' the whip-smart and rebellious teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts ('Alice in Wonderland') and 'Chloe,' the perfectionist and athletic daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming ('Cinderella'). Jennifer Phang ('Advantageous,' 'Half-Life,' 'Foundation,' 'The Flight Attendant') is set to direct.

Disney Branded Television and Wilmer Valderrama are in development on a reinvention of the iconic Disney action-adventure-western series 'Zorro,' with Valderrama executive producing and starring as Don Diego de la Vega and his dashing swashbuckling alter ego, the masked horseman named Zorro.

Fresh off the heels of her brand-new album, 'Happier than Ever,' the Disney+ original will feature an intimate performance of every song in the album's sequential order - for the first and only time - from the stage of the legendary Hollywood Bowl.

It was watched by 1.9 million Kids 6-11 viewers (12.56 rating), 1.4 million Girls 6-11 (18.43 rating), 1.6 million Tweens 9-14 (9.98 rating), 1.1 million Girls 9-14 and 4.9 million Total Viewers - higher ratings than its Feb. 2018 predecessor, 'ZOMBIES.' The sequel posted cable television's highest ratings among all Kid and Girl demographics since Disney Channel's premiere of 'Descendants 3' in Aug. 2019. Replays of the movie are strong performers on Disney Channel linear, Video On Demand and DisneyNOW and it ranks in the Top 5 TV Chart on Apple iTunes.

Disney+ has ordered the long-anticipated revival of the groundbreaking animated series 'The Proud Family' which, 18 years after its Disney Channel premiere, is still beloved for its characters, stories and multilayered humor and for its messages about inclusion and cultural diversity in a smart, modern way. The new animated family sitcom 'The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder' is currently in production at Disney Television Animation with Academy Award-winning creator/executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar, who led the original series, at the helm, reuniting them with Calvin Brown, Jr. who is co-executive producer and story editor.

Production has resumed in Salt Lake City on the second season of the popular Disney+ series 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' as the East High drama students prepare to perform 'Beauty and the Beast' as their Spring musical. Slated for a late 2020 debut on Disney+, the second season will include reimagined musical numbers from both the 'High School Musical' movies and the stage production of 'Beauty and the Beast,' in addition to brand-new songs that join hits from season one like 'Born to Be Brave' and 'Just for a Moment.'
