200 years in the future, the land is ruled by the mighty 'Spotif-Eye', everyone is a freelancer with an inflexible work schedule, and the end of humankind draws near.  The dystopian musical comedy George Orwell never wrote introduces us to three sisters, a hair-obsessed Lieutenant, a mysterious Elder who speaks in song lyrics, and the one algorithmically perfect song that rules them all. Will the sweet sounds of sisterhood ring out and save humanity? Will they ever taste fresh kale juice?  Will the revolution, in fact, be harmonized?

This year the festival will debut 22 new plays by 23 local writers, 9 of whom will be contributing written work to the festival for the first time! The plays range from shorts to one-acts to full-lengths, and each one explores a different underworld legend or god from Greek or Egyptian mythology.

Repurposed Theatre is proud to present their second production, the World Premiere of The Horse's Ass and Friends by Megan Cohen, directed by Ellery Schaar. An evening of original short plays by Megan Cohen (SF's most-produced female playwright, Theatre Bay Area 'Keep An Eye On' Emerging Artist Honoree, and a Neo-Futurist), The Horse's Ass and Friends is a painfully funny night of vaudeville that finds the ticklish spots between feminism, love, and shadows.
