Dwayne Tan BIO

Dwayne is from Singapore but graduated from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York.

A performer for 16 years, his Singapore and US credits include Spring Awakening, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Romeo & Juliet, Hot Pants, Army Daze, Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, Pinocchio and Forbidden City.

Some of his notable stage productions in Singapore include his portrayal as `Frankie' in Beauty World and `The Prince' in Snow White both by W!ld Rice. He works extensively with the Singapore Repertory Theatre's Little Company and was most recently in Junior Claus and Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Stiles and Drewe (directed by Anthony Drewe).

In the US, Dwayne was on the Junie B. Jones national tour and played `Ching Ho' in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse).

He has staged, written and produced for the Esplanade - Fairy Tales - The Full Picture, The Show Must Go On, School Rules! and Forest Friends in Need. Being a finalist on Singapore Idol led to his self-produced EP, Moments Alone. His work extends to voiceovers for the regional channel, Life Inspired, TV commercials and many cartoons. On TV, he credits include Sunshine Station, HBO's Serangoon Road and Mediacorp's first animated sitcom Heartlander Hubby. He co-owns and teaches at the theatre music school, D Flat Studios.

Singapore's First Musical Theatre Fringe Festival Launched By Sing'theatre


Musical Theatre Fringe Festival (MTFF) produced by Sing'theatre, is Singapore's first and only arts festival dedicated to celebrating Musical Theatre that will run from 22nd July to 7th August 2022.

Adrian and Tracie Pang's Pangdemonium! Productions (FULL MONTY, CLOSER) recently opened its production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Tony Award-winning period, indie rock musical SPRING AWAKENING at Drama Center Theatre (100 Victoria Street, #05-01, National Library Building). The show stars Nathan Hartono as Melchior Gabor (originally played by Jonathan Groff on Broadway), and Filipina actress, singer Julia Abueva as Wendla Bergmann (a role created by GLEE star Lea Michele on Broadway).
